Dungeons Dungeon Item Lores!

Hello everyone.
So, yep, dungeon item lore. There's lots of powerful legendary items that can be bought from dungeons as powerful rewards for successfully beating the boss multiple times, but it's weird to look at the shop, since all of the items don't have any context. Nothing about them to theorize about. And since all legendaries are supposed to have lore, I frankly don't see a reason why these ones don't. So, here's my lore that I made on my own for every single legendary item you can get from the Decrepit Sewers (and eventually other dungeons). Enjoy.

Spoiler: Decrepit Sewers/Corrupted Decrepit Sewers

-Witherhead's Talisman (Necklace):
"After stumbling upon this charm during a siege on Ragni, a citizen of the city wore it, only to discover the phenomenal luck magic it contained. They said it helped them survive throughout the battle."

-Wall Breaker (Dagger):
"Gauntlets, nearly identical to this one, were mass-produced, with their primary purpose being for construction and demolition. A powerful earth warlock enchanted one they stole with extremely dangerous and explosive properties."

-Demonio (Spear):
"The Roots of Corruption near Detlas provided emeralds to the Wynn Province, along with the blood red rock which was useful for building. Some were made into weapons, such as this spear, before the hoards emerged from the portal.

-Nightmare (Spear):
"Originating from the depths of Mt. Wynn, this brutal pike utilizes unstable fire magic to change the mental state of the user, forcing them to not stop fighting until everything that opposes them is dead."

-Destructor (Bow):
"Bows of this design latch onto the user, preventing them from moving while launching heavy iron bolts three times as fast as conventional crossbows.

-Corrupted Witherhead's Bow (Bow):
"It is unknown why the infamous dungeons scattered across the landscape have their corrupted counterparts, but the odd magic changes the fighting skill and power of the weapons used by the inhabitants of the underground strongholds."

-Depth (Wand):
"The process of combining of Fire and Air magics is lengthy and complicated, and few pieces of armor and weapons are known to combine the two. This hand-crafted wand does show how powerful the two can be when done right."

I only have Decrepit Sewers as of now, but more lore is coming. Feel free to suggest your own!

Besides that, why didn't they do this in the first place.
This is a great idea.

 

Because writing lore takes time, and it's pretty much Selvut doing it all by himself. He has to come up with lore that makes sense with the rest of the story, sounds good, and fits with the name and stats.

How's this for the Centipede (Legendary Helmet) lore.
"Spines inside this chitin headpiece are the legs of a mutant grootslang, who had almost a hundred of them. They're said to grant the wearer it's speed and strength."

 

If there was a position on the CT as a lore maker I would apply in a HEARTBEAT, it's so much fun!

Lemme see what I can do for infested pit
Vanguard
This special bracelet was given to the commander of ragnis armys first regiment. It grants the user strength, luck, and the force to lead an enormous army onto the field of battle.

Web Plate
This chestpiece has loose threads trailing from it, caused by the slow unraveling of its spider-spun nature. These tendrils can seep the life from any other organisms it encounters, but they are just as likely to catch on inanimate objects and slow down the user.


Sanctuary
Field
This simple bracelet is intertwined with multicolor flowers from a field where Taurotos are said to graze.

Mud
Mud is a fertile and regenerative substance for plants, and these earthen boots have the same effect on the user; they invigorate them. However, they also slow the wearer down, like the mud.

Earth Sanctuary
These heavy leggings are made from the same enchanted stone from which the forest guardians of the ancient forests where formed. Alas, only these have survived the Decay

Thunder sanctuary
The preserve for the endangered Ventus species was made of a magically enchanted electric barrier. Unfortunately, this was not enough to stave off their extinction, and this relic is one of the only legacies of the Venti.

Water sanctuary
When the Decay cause the volcanoes of Molten Heights to erupt, the temperature of the underground rose suddenly. In a last ditch effort to save the rare fish living in a few pools and lakes, a group of conservationists invented a metal that kept water cool. However, when that part of the Heights froze over, the metal didn't keep out the cold. These leggings, forged from the same alloy, keep out the heat, but are unreliable in the cold.

Fire Sanctuary
It is a little-known fact that before the freezing of Nesaak, a variety of animals lived around hot vents on the lake and river beds. When theorick froze the area over, all the vents closed but one, and even that one only lasted a short while. These leggings are made from the same rock that once protected life from the encroaching cold.

Air sanctuary
Whenever one of the sky islands loses its magic, the Ahmsordian government takes care of the matter with strict efficiency. But when one isolated island began to descend, people panicked, for it was a refuge for a rare species of angel, nearly hunted to extinction. Due to its isolate nature, the government was helpless, and as the sanctuary plunged into the void, all that remained was a gust of the purest air. These leggings contain the essence of that wind.

Note: since garoth has made the habit of dealing with endangered or extinct species, the sanctuary leggings are related to a place or thing that protected an animal related to that element from extinction.

Centipede
Protruding from the inside of this chitinous helmets are hundreds of tiny spiky limbs. When worn, this helmet stimulates the brain in such a way to give the user extraordinary speed and strength at the cost of being reduced to their most basic instincts.

 

MORE LORE FOR THE CRYPT
Hymn of the dead
Playing this remade flute at so many funerals has give it an airy feel, while at the same time spreading corruption around it.

Abolition
A dagger forged by a cult of bovemists, they said it would prevent its user from joining the undead army, should they ever fall in battle. While this aspect is untested, the item remains useful in combat

Sanies
Surprisingly, the liquid produced from infected wounds enhances the magical abilities of whatever weapon is imbued with it.

Damnation
A cult of antibovemists, believing the only way to defeat the undead legions was to join with them, fashioned a collection of these daggers and then used them to slit their throats while surrounded by charons armies.


TOMB
Sprout
Contained within the core of this hammer is one of the few remaining magical seeds designed to grow in the desert without water. It strengthens earth abilities and weakens water abilities.

Chaser
One bold adventurer faced the cockatrice without any intention of defeating it; instead, she plucked a few of its feathers and forged this bow from them.

Karma
This wand contains the essence of magic that keeps the only spring in the desert flowing.


Hashers claw
All we know is this came from Hashr, but…who is Hashr?

Spring trap
A madman went across Wynn, collecting springs form old mousetraps, and used them to make this chai mail.

Witherheads talisman
An old good luck charm, fallen down the drain, ended up in the ragni sewers to be found by witherhead.

Nightmare
Use it in battle, but in sleep it is extremely dangerous, even to the user.

Demonio
Who witherhead really is, no one knows, but we do know this spear has the same earthen aura as the sewers master.

Destructor
Some of ragnis scientists attempted to create a cannon that could be wielded by hand. Unfortunately, while this does do extreme damage, it still renders the user immovable through its weight.

Corrupted bow
Before the sewers got corrupted, officials attempted to replace many parts of it with electric machinery. When witherhead came, only a small part of the sewers had been upgraded, so he charges his bow there with elemental energy there.

Depth
A scientist , not daring to enter the dungeon, lowered a wand on a rope down the sewer entrance. After a month, he reeled the item back up, to find it had absorbed high levels of magic.

Wall Breaker
A demolition team, wielding these heavy iron gauntlets, once tried to demolish the abandoned sewers, but instead collapsed a tunnel on their heads.

Criistal
This delicate talisman is made of unmeltable ice, though it is just as likely to shatter from impact.

Shade
Enchanted by a sorcerer of the ice canyon, this freezing chest plate digs into the wearer, inciting them to move faster while making them incapable of being cautious.

Hearthfire
This simple chest plate gives the wearer a constant sense of warmth and comfort.

Blasphemy
This armor is engraved with excerpts from a heretic text made by the anti-bovemists.

Heartbreak
A pair of lovers each forged a pair of boots, made so that their magic would increase if one of each were worn. However, the couple separated, and because this set lacks a counterpart, its true magical potential remains forever hidden.

Iron foot
Some of the densest iron found in Mt. Wynn was used to forge these boots, which deliver devastating kicks, providing you can lift your feet...

GRAVEYARD

Redbeards hand cannon
Stories say that before going into battle, Captain Redbeard would replace his metal hook with this electric-powered mini cannon, and then use it to mow down his enemies.

Admiral
This jacket, encrusted with medals of honor, belonged to the Admiral of the Selcharian Navy, renowned for his efforts to reduce pirating. Unfortunately, he wore this jacket to his grave, as their battle against the pirate Soul was their last one.

Skull Breaker
This blunt spear is incapable of cutting, it can only smash

Knee
These flexible leggings, fitted with special rubber around joints, allows for agile movement

Ribcage
This magical set of ribs melts into the wearers skin, magically reinforcing their skeletal structure.

This ring, equipped with spinnerets, allows the user to shoot life draining web, increasing there speed as well.

If venom enters the bloodstream, it is deadly, but ingested, is relatively harmless.

This bow was once used by a detlas vigilantes, an amazing person said to be half-man, half-spider.

If fighting against someone with this hammer, stay in front. The sides are equipped with venom-tipped daggers


Sanctuarrrry
Brise
Brise means breeze. So why does this helmet give water abilities? Someone must've had too much caffeine. (Dun hurt me)

Butterfly
This iridescent helmet is covered with butterfly scales, making it beautiful and light.

Vitre
When held to the sun, this glass bracelet reflects lights in all directions

Gold digger
These shining pants increase the wearers greed

Crypt

Dead samurais plate
An incredible fighter from a far off land, the samurai was only killed by charon himself while aiding the escape from ancient nemract.



Black ripper
This white helmet has a black crack down the middle, which grows wider every year. It is said that the person wearing this item when the white is gone will die

Putrid
This disgusting weapon is covered with a thin slime of viscera

Deaths reach
While holding this crossbow, one can hear the dead calling, urging you to turn the bow around and pull the trigger…

Styxs grab
Tempered in the cold underworld river, this icy dagger contains the souls of all who've drowned in it.

 

If they did add dungeon item lore I don't think its possible for them to apply it to all the currently purchased versions of the item, though.

 

That's perfectly fine though since dungeon items are untradeable, and will not become a collectors item.

Dune beast jaw
This isn't really a helmet, just the mandible of a desert monster to be worn around the jaw

Sol
The tip of this spear is so bright, looking at it causes instant blindness.

Jaw breaker
The peculiar nature of this weapon causes it to send shockwaves into whatever object it touches, including the user.

Miasma
After carrying this bow for a while, one begins to feel sick and nauseated

Clunderthap
The creator of this weapon was said to have a bit of a speech impediment.

The top of this helmet has a dorsal fin on it, while the front is covered in razor sharp teeth.

This armor piece is in a constant state of flux, half-solid, half-melted

Cutthroat
This weapon belonged to an assassin famous for slittin his victims throats in his sleep

Whirlwind
Anyone holding this weapon will spin around in uncontrollable circles, thought arrows always seem to hit their mark.

Jungle spirit
It is said that Entamis herself consecrated this leafy wand

Barbed
Most jungle inhabitants know to keep away from the thorny acacia, whose trunk is covered in monstrous thorns.

Da gwave yad
Ouragan
When one of the rare 100-year hurricanes struck Selchar, this weapon was flung into the eye of the storm, where It remained suspended for 7 days. Upon being found by a fisherman, it was found to have absorbed enormous magic.

Algaa
The metal on this hammer encourages the growth of lichen, giving it a furry green look.

Rumble
Don't forget that lightning comes before thunder!

Grounder
This enchanted bow was crafted for sailors, anyone holding it will instantly find themselves rooted to the ground, and if on water, calm the waters around them, protecting the ship.
