Dungeons Hang Glider Quest (reposted & Updated)

I feel that wynn already has a lot of travel aspects, but I personally feel it needs more verticality. I feel a mission that gives the player a hang glider (re-skinned Elytra or a command block program) would be very good, since it would allow players to travel even faster, and give more options for loot chests that every class can access.

The thought of people gliding around off of the Detlas hourglass or a mountain seems cool. Maybe you could add some more movement options with it, enabling combat with it while flying. Hit and run strats anyone?

Lvl: Lvl either 45ish or 60ish

Abuse prevention: If over an area 10+ lvls higher than you, this message appears and glider stalls:

"The winds in this area are too strong. You need to master your glider more to fly here."

Glitch prevention: If in a glitched area tp to nearest non glitched area: I.E: if under map tp to surface
Quest name: The Flight of Iracus
Quest NPC Name: Deladus
Location: a mountain near Olux (~ -1900, ~ -5600) or the tall mountains just outside Light Forest (~-1100, ~-4800) (~ means about)

Reference to the greek myth the Flight of Icarus (Seemed to fit Wynncraft)

First off: elytra is just a bad idea in general.
Second: I think the bantisu temple would be a better place to receive said broken item.

 

Thanks for the location, and I do have several measure to make sure it's hopefully not broken
I.E: Stalling when over too high lvl mobs, anti-glitch etc.

 

Wynn does not need any of these. There's hardly and vertical heights in Wynn that are more than a few jumps and transport spells can handle.

Wynn has a lot of travel aspects; it doesn't need any more, especially not overpowered ones like an Elytra.

Every class can already access every chest, or at the very least 99% of them.

The abuse prevention is decent, though it doesn't really do that much. Glitch prevention won't work; might as well just do that as a separate suggestion, and is probably not even possible.

Ignoring the grammar issues; a master artisan wouldn't really be stuck in a prison that has no ceiling, nor would he be able to fly out of it using wings. If you're going to copy a Myth, at least make it logical.


All in all, this is an overpowered and unnecessary suggestion, with moderately decent limitations and a bad backstory, as it has literally no detail for the Quest in question, save for an ambiguous minimum level that's way too low.

All the classes can reach every spot in the map anyways, for the most part.

It's definitely 99%. If you can reach the top of ToA (or as close as possible, anyway) as warrior and assassin, you can get just about anywhere else.

Also maybe change the lore so it's not the same thing as Daedalus. Plus, he was a son of athena, and the dove is the sign of aphrodite

Despite the mythological reference, this is a good suggestion, but a bad idea.
Wynn has like 6 or 7 areas that include good flight possibilities, and tbh like Ganon said there's no practical use.
Not to mention it doesn't fit with Wynncrafts lore type, (the hang gliders, Dadelus is good.)
