    Elemental Spells

    So i thought that maybe it would be cool that each class could have its own special elemental spells,
    kinda like powders specials but this time requires skill points

    Elemental Skill Requirement: 100 Skill Points of One Stat

    Rainbow Spells' Skill Requirement: 50 Skill Points of each stat


    How would it work?
    You will charge it with the time (1:30 minutes maybe?) and you will need 15 Mana to cast them, they would be
    casted shifting and right clicking one time, or dropping the weapon when is charged, or when we update to 1.9 by passing it to the other hand credits to @captainganon for the idea of the dropping wep thing and to @SaltyPhox for the 1.9 one

    Mage's Elemental Spells

    Water:
    Freezing Bolt: It will throw an ice bolt (representated with an ice block with sparks around) that if it hits the enemy, it will trap it in an iceberg for 5 seconds, making it unable to both move or attack, then exploding causing 400% DMG to the enemy


    Fire:
    Meteor Shower: It will cast a massive meteors rain, smaller but with the same visual effects than the normal meteors, causing 40% DMG per meteor

    Thunder:
    Electric Wave: It will damage the mobs in a 15 blocks radius for 20% DMG, and will increase in a 20% per mob around that area, so this would be perfect for kill a swarm of mobs

    Earth:
    Nature Guardian: Summons an earth golem that will have a 20% of your health, and will lifesteal a 10% of the damage it deals to the mobs, every hit it does will damage the enemies for 50% and has slow attack speed

    Air:
    Furious Wind: The enemy will start getting knocked to a wall, when it crashes against the wall, the enemy will be continously hit by the wind, dealing 20 hits of 20% DMG

    Rainbow Spell

    Solar Impact: A solar beam with all the rainbow colors will start hitting the enemy, causing it 525% DMG, but reducing your melee damage in a 25% for 15 seconds (represented with a multicolor effect and exploding at the end as a big cloud and rainbow particles effect)


    Warrior's Elemental Spells

    Water:
    Surf: You will surf a water wave, being able to control it until hitting the enemy, where it will break and damage the enemy for 350% DMG (Area)

    Fire:
    Burning Blade: your weapon will glow with fire, dealing 200% DMG in a 4x4 area in front of you, also burning the enemies for 20% every second during 5 seconds and buffing your melee damage for 10 seconds in a 50%

    Thunder:
    Shocking Charge: You will charge forward, with thunders leaving your back, and hitting the enemy will cause him 250% DMG and paralize it for 10 seconds, being unable to move

    Earth:
    Gaia's Wrath: The earth will shake around the enemy, causing it 50% DMG every 0.5 seconds during 4 seconds, also stunning him for 1 second after the earthquake finishes

    Air:
    Air's Blessing: You will get +50 WS, making you run faster, also it will increase your dodging chance in a 20% for 20 seconds

    Rainbow Spell

    Warrior's Rage: A multicolor war scream will happen, giving you +50% resistance and 20% DMG bonus for 3 minutes, also damaging 5 times what a normal war scream does (represented with a multicolor potion particles and the normal war scream/cry of the gods skin)

    Assassin's elemental spells

    Water:
    Icy Shadows: You will create water copies of yourself (10 maybe?), it will die in one hit, but they will do the same melee damage as you do, only melee attacks can break the shadow clones
    they also have +100% walk speed and 20% dodging chance

    Fire:
    Molten Spin: a upgraded spin attack that does 300% DMG, also putting them in fire for 5 seconds, receiving default fire damage (you know, the much you receive when you fall in lava for example, but not that harsh for mobs)

    Thunder:
    Multi Shock Punches: An electrical multihit that will hit 20 times, doing 15% DMG per hit, and when it finishes, the enemy will get blind for 5 seconds and your walk speed will be reduced in 50% for these 5 seconds

    Earth:
    Ghostly Excavation: you will infiltrate in the floor, and leaving it behind your enemy, doing him a cut in the neck, causing it 450% DMG over the time (5 seconds)

    Air:
    Air Dash: you will be launched to the air, then falling against your enemy like a meteor, if you hit him, you will damage him for 500% (area 3x3) (you will take 3 seconds for fall) it can be dodgeable by going away

    Rainbow Spell

    Mirror Chaos: You will imitate the enemy's movement, making you have 70% chance of not being hit by the enemy, but everytime you hit him, you hit him in the back too, doubling every damage you do for 20 seconds

    Archer's Elemental Spells

    Water:
    Arrow Rain: a rain of arrows will start falling above the enemy, causing 10% DMG per 0.25 seconds for 15 seconds

    Fire:
    Explosive Leap: you will leap to the air, letting a bomb in the ground, after 1 second, it explodes and damages the enemies in a 10x10 radius for 150%, when falling on the ground, a similar effect to the meteors lava floor will happen, causing another 100% DMG

    Thunder:
    Shocking Arrow: You will throw a normal arrow, shocking everyone except the user for 5 seconds, then it will receive every second a 50% damage (8x8 radius)
    damage is reduced in a 10% if its in the water, but mobs around that mob will also get shocked for a 75% damage one time (4x4 radius around the mob)

    Earth:
    Arrow Volcano: you will hit the ground with your foot, opening a small fissure and throwing an arrow rain in a 10x10 circle, causing 50% DMG per arrow (a total of 200 arrows maybe?)
    for 10 seconds, also increasing your melee damage for a 25%

    Air:

    Wind Wave: You will throw an arrow that will follow the enemy, it will move a bit slower (100% DMG) when it hits, the enemy will be followed for a T1 arrow storm, which will damage the enemy for a 25% per arrow (the arrows will appear from the air and has a cloud trail)

    Rainbow Spell

    Archer's Colour: you will throw an arrow storm (12 arrows), each of one color of the rainbow (trail) each arrow will cause 40% elemental damage (green/orange colors: earth, yellow/light green colors: thunder, red and pink colors: fire, blue and purple colors: water, grey and black/white colors: Air) these arrows will follow the enemy

    i will try to complete this idea with the time, adding new spells and blah blah blah...

    This idea is really cool, but i think being able to cast one of these on a cooldown of 30 seconds is a bit too op.
    Maybe you should increase the cooldown for these spells

    also mage and warrior are the first ones im getting ideas for, assassin will come 3rd i guess...

    Really though, I like the idea. But perhaps if the elemental spells were more like upgrades to the current spells, it would be easier to balance and make more sense? As in, mastery of an element gains you a buffed spell.

    This is a brilliant concept, but several problems exist:
    1. how is it casted?
    2. a 3 min cooldown is very annoying, try to think of a better way to limit casting?
    3. How are these unlocked?

    1. Shift-Rightclick after charging it for a while
    2. Maybe make them upgraded versions of current spells instead therefore making them less op than they are now but also not needing a cooldown?
    3. 100 sp in a skill.

    That's a powder special.... the problem is that a simple cooldown mechanic becomes bland and annoying after a while.

    firstly, you didn't suggest this, so I don't know why you are answering. Secondly,
    1. Thats not original at all, powders use the exact same thing, just opposite (apparently). These would basically be powders specials, except activated by skillpoints instead of powders.
    2. Whats the point of that then? Why do people need upgraded versions of current spells..? I mean sure, but is it worth the time and effort of coding, adding, implementing, testing?
    3. Thats a little much, firstly, and how would you distinguish between which one you wanted to use?

    I see, well my original questions still apply. My main point was that this issue is unique, but needs refinement.

    This would be monstrously overpowered in PvP. Even if you only get one per fight, no movement for a full 20 seconds is too strong.

    Cool idea otherwise.

    we could do that, but then i will have to do at least 20 spells for each class... time to brainstorm like hell...

    Oh, sorry, no, I didn't mean 5 for each spell. Though that would be cool too, the upgrades would end up being bland and not feel as unique. I meant a "random" upgrade to one of the spells, depending on the class and element mix. Plus, mastery of the fifth element could result in a boost to Normal attacks, if you didn't want an uneven amount for each spell.
    Not sure if this can work, it may have to be a different form of activation (i.e false-dropping the weapon)

    this gave me an idea for a rainbow spell

    time to make these 4 spells, and i will have to add another requirement if its impossible to get 100 SP in each skill
