World A Small Change To Dueling

1. When two players begin a duel, they're both automatically raised to 100% health as per normal. However, when the duel ends, both parties revert to the same amount of health they had prior to the duel. People can currently abuse the healing feature to get back up to full health in a pinch.
2. Make the players impervious to mob attacks while the duel is being fought, except possibly knockback. It can skew the results of a duel, and it's generally a pain in the butt.
3. Make players unable to pick up or drop items during the duel, to avoid bad weapon-losing circumstances.

If you've got any visions on how this could be changed, let me know.

 

Not taking damage from aggressive mobs during dueling could be taken advantage of. I can already see people abusing that during a Qira battle.

Like Smiley said you can't attack mob in a duel...

 

The creator of the thread suggested that you not take damage from mobs when dueling which would be abusable.

how is it abusable if you cant even attack mobs?

 

If two players were for example both about to die, and they dueled with this suggestion implemented, they could use it as an easy escape method.

 

what do you mean by "escape method"?

 

You can't exit Qira's room until you kill her.

after that you can enter and leave whenever you want

Yes, but after you kill her once, it doesn't matter if you leave after that. Even if you help another player to kill her, and you killed her before, the other player won't be able to leave. So if you duel eachother only you will escape.

 

but what if you do it with 2 people that both have done the quest :DD

 

They can duel, leave, and leave you alone. But to be serios now, who will stay in the middle of a boss battle to duel eachother instead of trying to drink pots or runnig away? I think you're more likely to die trying to duel the other player.

People have done it before, trust me.

It is completely unnecessary to be condescending or make unfounded comments on a fellow forumer's IQ.

Well... u could be on low health in a boss battle, duel ur buddy, regen, kill ur buddy (who now has full health to) and fight the boss.with full health..

But maybe they add no dueling zones? Just in dungeons and boss rooms

 

Sounds like a great idea. Should I add it to the original post? Sorry, you can't duel here… you've got something more important to fight.
