Dungeons Mythic Gaining Change

i grinded for 2 and a half years and didn't get a single piece. Same with plenty of others. They probably weren't as rare probability-wise, but there were less players and thus around the same amount of items in circulation for a good time. Or less.

 

That... is something I forgot about. They need a time period per server for it to open. I'd say 15 seconds.

 

So... once every fifteen seconds there's a chance for it to open? If you mean that's how long it stays open for, sure, but that's not what I meant.

It stays open until someone closes it by killing the boss.

I grinded for like a month and got three sets...

 

I meant the period of time in which the chance resets. As in, chance every x seconds. Though, that is an issue; if it stays open, people will pile in and log out until the boss is beaten, then log back in and do it themselves.

Yes we are. I grinded a lot more in the earlier days though, so it's possible the drop chances were buffed and I just had bad luck. Never gotten a mythic either.

I'm fairly certain they were buffed. It might've been around the same time as the level cap was changed to 75, but the patch notes from the old days were spotty and my memory is too.

 

The mob wouldn't spawn unless the doors had recently been opened, let it also be known glitch abuse is against the rules.
And ya the chance should reset every 15 seconds.
Is there a mob specific way to disable despawning?
They could just spawn the boss once and leave him till he's killed.
Or they could set it up so worldguard moves them out when they're found inside the area.

 

The door should close as soon as a person enters it. It's not glitch abuse if it's programmed in to the game knowingly.

Everything else is solved by simply closing the entrance once anyone enters it.

 

Of course make it so if they fail it re opens.

 

I don't think that makes sense. "oh you failed your final exam here try again"

Not to mention every 15 seconds is too quickly. In fact, time-based isn't that great at all; it means all you have to do to get a mythic is wait.
There's issues with the idea pretty much every way you look at it.

 

Except they wouldn't be trying again, someone else would, they would be dead and respawning at a nearby city.
This is also uncomparable to exams since whether or not you fail or pass your exam the exam is taken and you never see it again.
The mob doesn't die if you don't kill it, it's still there, threatening the world with it's mythic weapons.

 

If the door never closes, then the same person could just go back.

It is comparable to exams because if you do well, you don't need a second chance.

That's not important. As I said, if you do well on the exam you don't need to try again. If you die and the door never closes, you can just go back.

 

Yes but it's a mythic and unless there's less than 15 people on the entirety of Wynn I highly doubt they'll have a chance.

Whether or not you do well on an exam the exam gets taken up.

When it comes to a living, breathing, monstrous creature, it doesn't just die when you die.
It's still there.
