World bosses. Similar to Key Guardians, are fun, exciting, difficult bosses that offer promising rewards for those who seek them out.

    Example:

    Canyon Bandit Nitor
Nitor, a quick and powerful bandit who has mastered the art of the bow, and enjoys destruction and chaos, resides somewhere in the Canyon of the Lost, and whose name spreads fear throughout Gavel. Nitor as a little girl always enjoyed messing with the villagers and humans, tricking them into having conflict and fighting. She never experienced real parents or love, but she wasn't much of a terrible child. Later in her life, as a teenager, she became a bandit, and later joined the Canyon Bandits. Her experiences with countless thefts, battles, and conflict has made her strong. She once ventured off to the province of Wynn to show her fellow bandits she was the strongest, and that she could face off the Corruption alone...at the source. Her mind was warped but she knew what was happening to her, and she quickly fled back home to Gavel. Over time her fellow Canyon Bandits noticed that she wanted more than just gold or theft. She wanted bloodshed and conflict. She wanted blood spilled. She wanted chaos. She proved herself the strongest over time and intimidated the other Canyon Bandits, thus becoming their leader. She schemes to further the decay and create conflict by slaying the creatures of light and spreading wicked lies throughout the people, Villagers, Orcs, etc alike. Her ultimatum is to bring Gavel to its knees and rule it herself with an iron hand. Should she not be stopped by wizards as powerful as the champions that hail from Fruma, that have conquered threats, dangers, and the dreaded corruption, and even the Conqueror of Worlds?

Nitor wields a highest tier wind bow. Nitor is able to use the normal archer skills, including a few of her own. Nitor has mastered the element of Air, and is one with wind, becoming resistant to it, and seemingly teleporting around in different locations.
    ---------
    Stats:
    Health: 120000
    Damage: 800-1200, Neutral
    Attack Speed: Very Fast
    Element Attack: Neutral, Air
    Elemental Defense: Air
    ---------
    Skills:
    Arrow Storm IV
    • Damage: 15% (per arrow)
    • Arrows: 120
    • + Dexterity, double the amount of arrows you shoot at the same time
    Bomb Arrow IV
    • Damage: 280%
    • + Bounce, the arrow will now bounce up to three times
    Arrow Shield IV
    • Damage: 200%
    • + Arrow Rain, throw a bunch of arrows in the sky, damaging everything around you by 150%
    • + Bomb Shower, once the arrows hit the ground, they bounce once and turn into Bomb Arrows. However, they do 50% of Normal Attack's damage.
Arrow Burst: Similar to Arrow Shield, Nitor surrounds themselves in arrows. However, these arrows face, and are launched, outward at a high velocity that is difficult to avoid.
    • Damage 135%
Pin-Shot: Nitor quickly switches to an electricity arrow. This type of arrow can paralyze the player and slow the player(slowness III) for 3 seconds, as they need to regain their balance.
    • Damage: 50%
Silex Arrow: Nitor quickly switches to a silex-tipped flinthead arrow. This type of arrow combined with Nitor's skill has enough stopping power to knockback the player(6 blocks).
    • Damage: 50%
Flash Arrow: Nitor quickly switches to an arrow with the essence of compressed light inside, and fires it at the player. If it hits it blinds the player for 2 seconds.
    • Damage: 50%
Consecutive Attacks: If Nitor lands a special arrow marked by purple particles then Nitor does consecutive special attacks until an attack misses.

Dash: Nitor dashes(teleports) around the player at an incredibly fast pace, making them dizzy and giving them the blinding effect for 2 second. Occurs every 10-20 seconds.
    -------
    The Fight:
You approach the Canyon Bandit Nitor. She looks at you with a devilish smile and says she's been waiting for someone as important as you to be slain by her.

Nitor will have the default archer AI that Wynncraft has, but however, teleports around the player a safe distance to shoot. Nitor will begin attacking by dashing once then using Consecutive Attacks, and unleashing her wrath at the player. She continues to do this until she reaches 75% health, in which she summons Canyon Bandits that have x2 stats. She also teleports slightly farther away. Once she reaches 50% she spawns Canyon Bandits that have x3 stats. At 25% she spawns Canyon Bandits with x5 health but goes insane after realizing she's going to lose, and goes berserk. She goes out with a bang and kills her own bandits and spams one of her attacks that isn't Consecutive Attack and dashes every 5 seconds. She changes the spell that is being spammed every 10 seconds and gains resistance to every element, and is boosted to 35% health. At 5% she runs away at a speed slightly faster to sprinting and if she isn't killed within 5 minutes escapes and the player must wait until her next spawn interval.

Where and when does it spawn? What happens if a player who is in the area for something else is unprepared? Why would someone want to fight one of these? Why would they spawn? Do they have a movement limit? Do they ever did automatically? What if a server never deals with one?

I like this idea, random strong bosses roaming the world making travel a little more interesting/dangerous.

Perhaps they could have unique loot drops or items that you could trade in FOR the weapons/armors/accessories. Like Nitor could drop her powerful wind bow, etc.

One thing that this somewhat irks me is the "consecutive attacks". Would this be a passive trait she normally has, or would it be an attack that you could dodge that would TRIGGER the consecutive abilities?

Finally, i think that this is a good idea, and some more bosses should be brainstormed. Perhaps an Ent for the light/dark forest? A shadowy void-figure creature for lexdale?

Just an arrow with a particle effect, that, once it hits, starts the chain reaction of spell after spell.

Flat areas preferably in Cinfras. This question was answered in the lore. Whaddya mean why'd they spawn? I wanted her to have Escape but Idk if that would work. If by movement limit you mean how far she can go from her spawn ~ yes. If you meant her speed she would behave like normal archers in that sense. Huh? I dont get this one. Lastly, why would it matter if a server encounters one?

How is that answered in the lore? Besides if this is a case for a single mob to be added, I don't see how this is a world boss. Besides, bandits this powerful outside of Cinfras? The edges of Light Forest, maybe.

What incentives are there for fighting a world boss? It just seems like a waste of time if it doesn't give a reward that's worth the effort.

What triggers a world boss to spawn? If it is a trigger in itself that can happen more than once, it's really just an easily abused tool to troll players who have something better to do than deal with an overpowered minion with annoying status attacks.

Theoretically I can walk this thing all the way to Llevigar. Does I die after a certain amount of time? Does it stop following the person it's aggroed on after a certain distance from it's spawn point?

And it matters if a server encounters one LITERALLY BECAUSE IT IS SPECIFIC TO THAT SINGLE SERVER. If nobody kills it, what's to stop it from wandering into Cinfras? That thing will easily get past the weak guard mobs any day. Hell, it could even get into a lower levelled area if it aggroes and follows someone.

Now for a little lesson in Instance Based PvE with FlubbyB

In MMO games, PvE is often classified by two kinds of PvE: World PvE and Instance PvE. World based PvE is simply PvE that anyone can stumble into. Naturally spawning monsters against the world. Instance base PvE is where a player is put into a closed environment with a restricted player total, where the goal is to kill the monsters. A good example of Instance PvE is a boss fight in World of Warcraft.

Now the concept of a world boss that everyone has to get together to kill is cool, but it is at the same time flawed in its nature. A world boss is taking a monster designed for instance PvE and putting it into world PvE. That causes harm to under levelled and unprepared players who would otherwise be in that area.

The reason boss monsters are restricted to Instance Based PvE is because of their strength. They need to have limited actions and movement range or they will make the game unplayable.

If a world boss is not properly created, or spawns more than once, it is a broken and un-fun mechanic that can ruin entire games.

Please, include the details I've had to question you on in your thread. Those should have been answered if you had any existing knowledge of world bosses (which admittedly few do know much about them, given their rarity, so you're lack of ideal detail is understandable).

Don't mistake lack of detail for a bad idea.
Wynncraft started out with very little detail if you'd remember.
I'd like to see something like this happen, even if there aren't any rewards, simply because it gives new stuff to look for, it adds depth.
You can always assume the Wynn team will balance any ideas to come into the game, in this case for your instance based PvE argument, I believe they'd move this mob into the CoTL and make it slightly weaker, to counter the spell spamming.

I like the idea, and I think multiple of these, (and others) spawning in world would be interesting, and add depth to the game.
Possible ideas for their drops -
A special weapon per type of mob, with a chance to drop.
    Or
An increased chance to drop a mythic of their element, (nothing special, it just changes it from 7/1000000 to 14/1000000).
    And/Or
    A shower of emerald blocks.
    And/Or
An (actually decent) amount of XP from killing this mob.

And why shouldn't it be added? The base idea is simple enough to implement since they've done it before.
It adds more depth and mobs into the game.
While the extra move specials may not be added, the idea of specialty mobs roaming around is interesting.

Mostly you just explained the flaws in this thread.
And in your case of instance based PvE, they could easily set up physical or plugin based roaming limits for a mob like that.
And if they balance it to area level and put it in areas that are supposed to be dangerous anyways, it won't hurt.
As for the mob kiting, player made invasions are against the rules. Anyone caught doing this would be banned.
I do agree that it needs to be in the light forest or CoTL though, (especially CoTL because that's a mostly wind area, with wind themes and monsters).

    1. It was answered in the lore because I clearly stated "resides in the fields of Cinfras", as well as stating that it might have 3-4 random spawns. My example does, anyway. This question is partly unnecessary since the title is World BOSSES. PLURAL. It stops following the person it's aggroed on after a certain distance from it's spawn point, and if it wanders too far off teleports back.

    2. If for some reason it did wander into a lower leveled area it'd only give more incentive for higher levels to kill it. There's also a thing called "/servers."

    3. As stated by @Plasma~ about Key Guardians, World Bosses can be fun and exciting, a thrilling fight and perilous encounter. Why aren't Key Guardians a danger to low levels, why aren't any other mobs? They ARE. All mobs in the game are a DANGER. Yes, some might be unprepared, but if you're going into an area unprepared or without knowledge of it then you're probably going to die anyway. If a player is under leveled, they shouldn't neccessarily be there. Plenty of games have done world bosses successfully. At times they are more interesting than normal bosses. World Bosses spawn at certain intervals and despawn after a certain amount of time. The server is alerted in chat if a World Boss has spawned. I'm amping up their spawn to around 2-6 hours at a time. Wynncraft is an OPEN WORLD RPG and therefore OPEN WORLD BOSSES would fit perfectly. Similar to the Key Guardians, as they are each their own individual mini-boss fight. At lower levels, Key Guardians become a real challenge(especially the underworld crypt). World Bosses can have that same limited movement range as instanced bosses, provided the right locations for their spawns. The thing that makes world bosses much more interesting, exciting, and heart-racing is that you can't just retry after you die, as it'll probably despawn. In instanced PVE scenarios you can usually respawn and retry the dungeon, raid, or boss at any moment. World Bosses are something to actually prepare for. Something fun. Something interesting that can't just be done whenever, on the fly. You don't just click "Queue Instance", join a world with random people, and defeat a boss. You plan for it, gather people, wait before fighting, then engage. It's interesting and co-operative. YOUR perspective on World Bosses are skewed and clearly biased.

Not trying to be rude, but could you think some of your questions out more, such as
