Gambling System/casino :3

What am I basically saying?
Ok, so I thought if there were a few cities with casinos, and players would come and use emeralds to buy "tokens" these tokens when playing games (that require chance or skill) could then be used to exchange for amazing prizes (weapons, armor, accessories, maybe even powders :3) or emeralds. Of course the server would have the advantage, so that players can't make stacks of le off of this.

Why would this benefit the server?
While I don't want 10 year olds becoming gambling addicts. I thought this would also be a nice way for the server to stabilize economy. Though not everyone is filthy rich, having players lose there emeralds to these games would go straight into the server to be gone FOREVER. Thus, the amount of emeralds in circulation decreases, and item prices are more stable, along with a better economy.

No monetary prizes would be nice to make it better function as a money sink; only gear, powders, and super duper rare horses, etc.

 

force players to use zight money instead of emeralds and ill vote yes on Proc 59.

 

If the tokens can't be turned back in to emeralds, then this would be a great money sink.

 

I can see some people that will become gambling addicts...

I see your point, but one addition for daring players to do occasionally wouldn't turn this into a minigames server. Wynncraft was more of a minigames server when Wizard Fortress was around than it would be if this was added.

I meant like the chance for horses is just as rare as it would be normally. (And costly)

 

It's a nice idea. Similar to runescapes bond system where you get a separate new item that can only be traded and used but not reverted back, acting as a good money sinker. However, the idea of a casino doesn't really fit into the whole Wynn theme. Possibly some other random thing. Who knows, maybe even some random fortune teller npc that give you untradable cards as tokens when you pay emeralds instead of a casino. If the visual concept of it changes, then you'll have my support :)

You go to Nemract and Selchar and play dice.
This is how you gamble.
It still gives emeralds to create immersion, (make the emerald rewards useless) but after so many emeralds/games you play it begins to give you items.
The lore behind that being that the sailors are 'dead broke' and begin giving away their items.
