World V.s.c Caravandriver - V.s.s Seaskipper For Land!

Told you I'd do it, @big_fat_bunny .

Have you ever grown tired of walking between cities because your horse is glitched out and you ran out of inventory space for endless scrolls?

Well now there is a solution!

The V.S.C CaravanDriver will take you down major roads from town to town for less than a scroll!

I'm open to any constructive criticism of this idea.

Implementation details:
Presumably the player would throw a pass down a hopper. The player would then be teleported to a caravan partway down the route the player wishes to go. The caravan partway down the route would be inaccessible to both the player and other players, dodging the free transport issue. Eventually, the player would reach the end point, and the caravan would be enterable/exitable again.

Like the SeaSkipper Captain, the Caravan Driver will chat with you during the journey.

Caravan Driver: I heard from some conspiracy nut that there's a hidden village in the middle of Nivla Woods. [1/3]
Caravan Driver: It's ridiculous what some people believe these days. [2/3]
Caravan Driver: What are they going to say next? Bob's alive? [3/3]

Detlas - Ternaves (Black Road)
Caravan Driver: Once I had a friend who bought a horse from Ternaves, who fancied himself as a horse breeder of sorts. [1/3]
Caravan Driver: Eventually he blew his family fortune and ended up with the same type of horse as he started with. [2/3]
Caravan Driver: He decided to work as a captain of a boat to repay his debts, for some reason. [3/3]

etc.

You would have to go to the end of the route first, or else the Caravan Driver would refuse to take.

Spoiler: Sample Dialogue

Caravan Driver: You don't know the way? Me neither! I was relying on you to get me there. Looks like we have to go somewhere else. [1/1]

EDIT 2: Assuming V.S.S. does stand for Very Sexy Ship, the new name is V.S.C.

EDIT 3: It costs less than scrolls because scrolls are instantaneous. The V.S.S SeaSkipper costs less for this reason.

 

The Thing is it would make both scrolls and horses kinda useless, and also you wouldn't have to go the Long way first before fasttraeling, making you not expirience the way there, which is really half the expirience of a City, the surroundings. The only reason the seaskipper exists is because boats vere extremely slow and Buggy, which isn't exactly true about horses (at least the slow part) and also there weren't scrolls to every Island so traveling there was very time consuming and inconvinient, which is why I never bothered exploring the ocean, but with the seaskipper it's much more convinient, however on land we don't really Need such a Thing since there are horses, scrolls and also Walking isn't as slow as swiming and there's also lots of stuff on the way.

Well once they fix the horse lag issues (if they can) I'm sure horses will go back to working fine.

I mean Scrolls cost soul points so you can't just spam scrolls back and forth.

People will be rich due to horses being useless, and just spam back and forth

 

Well horses wouldn't be totally useless, because the V.S.C CaravanDriver doesn't go everywhere. Just like how the V.S.S SeaSkipper didn't make boats totally useless.

 

Actually the V.S.S. Seaskipper does make boats useless but okay.

Again, this fills the niche formerly occupied by horses, before they glitched and lagged out.

 

Well, since the horses got(?) fixed i believe they will become a much better way of travelling.

Okay, let's get serious.

It should cost MORE than scrolls because scrolls takes up a slot in your inventory and also costs a soulpoint.

Which locations does it travel to? The CT don't like fill in the blanks.

Why VSC? Very Sexy Caravan is not a good business name.

 

Yeah, but scrolls have more flexibility in their use and you can scroll to someplace from anywhere, whereas the V.S.C CaravanDriver only goes down certain routes.

Any routes, I suppose. The GMs are meant to decide.
Personally, I would include the paths between cities, like the Emerald Trail or Black Road, while excluding paths that have significant physical barriers, like the Great Bridge.

V.S.C was meant to be a joke. To be honest, I don't know what to call it.
