sometimes powders just won't stack, but there was a nifty little trick where you threw them on the ground, and when you picked them up again, they would stack.
HOWEVER! No longer :()
If this is fixed, it will save lives of millions of Bank Classes.

 

i always found it strange that two of the exact same powder wouldn't stack, likely due to the source.

probably just NBT fuckery, either way it needs fixing

 

It does still work, it just sometimes doesn't work

I go powder running all the time and this works easily with flareling drops.
However, powders from relics will never stack with normal powders for some reason.
The easiest fix is to combine them to make a new powder.

 

Powders gained from chests won't stack with powders from item bombs, I know that for sure. I haven't seen a problem though.

 

It does not work with Item Bomb powders.

ye it most likely has to do with a difference in the NBT tags, causing them to not be stackable. kinda like if you have 2 chests with different items inside.

Item Bombs
Flarelings
Relics
Regular powders

There are four different types that won't stack with each other that I can think of off the top of my head, there may even be more. You are correct, this does need fixing.

 

Is there an actual reason why you can't stack powders? I don't understand why you can't.

 

The powders contain specific nbt tags that are required to be completely identical in order to be stackable. Some of these different sources generate the same powders with different nbt tags, causing them to not stack.

 

Do what i do, just convert them with th powder master, however, this sucks when u have tiers 6 and you can't fix itby yourself

 

In my experience powders from flarelings and relics will stack after throwing them and picking them up, but powders from merchants or bombs won't.
