World Sub-classes

As far as I know, this has not been suggested yet.

Having sub classes introduced new techniques and make game play more interesting, expecially for parties. I want to encourage people to party more often.

Elements are like sub classes, but they just change they way damage is dealt. I want to see something that give the game a different feel.

The option of changing your subclass could go with resetting your skill points.

I have ideas, but I don't know how to implement them and have it make sense. That is the reason I posted this. I would like more input from others, and how they would want this to be implemented. I have some ideas floating around, so I am just going to pitch them as they come.

Spoiler: Summoner

Able to summon a one of your pets, (or a horse if you have none) that will fight for you. It has 25% of your total health, and deals 20% of your weapon damage in melee. It cost 10 mana to summon a pet.

Spoiler: Necromancer

If you kill a mob that is 15 levels below you, you can bring it back and it will fight for you. All of its stats are greatly reduced, including speed. You can have up to 10 mobs following you, and will despawn if you are more than 200 blocks away.

Spoiler: Chef

Consuming potions will give a smaller effect to nearby players.

Subclasses already exists in Wynncraft.

What I mean is a basic mob, that has stats based on the players stats. The skin will not effect the mob in any way. I just think that it would be unique if you could change what your summon looked like with the pets. If this falls under the eula, then you could just get a wolf as your summon.

Elements are more based on sol (exception of the fire and water ability on weapons) and depend on you attacking a lot before you get some kind of benefit.

Also, they are not realy sub-classes.

What are sub classes?
How do you define them?
How would they be added into the game in a logical way?
How do you change subclasses?
What is their purpose?
How would they make the game more enjoyable?
Why should this be added?

They give you a class type, not a sub-class. Although it is open to interpretation.

I want to make builds even more unique. For example:
A water and fire mage with the chef sub class would be amazing for team support.

Or a fire warrior with a Necromancer sub class and high thorns can work very well in a boss battle as the main tank. (Because of low lvl minions).

 

What are sub classes? A class that gives you additional abilities, making each build more unique.

How do you define them? Additionally classes that are exclusive to a lager class or classes.

How would they be added into the game in a logical way? A quest of some kind. If you have an idea, I would like to hear it.

How do you change subclasses? The same way you would change your skill points.

What is their purpose? Each sub class would change the way you play the game. Necromancer would be more aggressive than a Summoner. So you would chose your sub class based on your play style.

How would they make the game more enjoyable? I don't know how answer this. It is a matter of option.

Why should this be added? Gives more freedom and variety in play styles.

How does this encourage partying more? Most of these abilities will be more powerful if there are other players nearby. Some abilities may end up creating an op combo.

I will rephrase them, and give you some new ones.

What would be the point of changing subclasses?
How could they exist Lore-wise?
How would they mesh with the already existing classes?
Elements are already decent subclasses, by your definitions.
How would they make the game more enjoyable to the largest number of people?
From what I'm getting, this would encourage partying in the same way that pre nerf Mob Totems encouraged partying.

You need this suggestion to have a LOT more detail still.

You still need to have a decent-sized post with a good amount of explanation for the community to help as this is your post. Other people are not able to give feedback from a little post. From what I said, it sounds like I am being a jerk but don't get the wrong idea. All ideas start from a little imagination, you just need to expand it and give more explanation. You could try using the 5Ws and 1H (who, what, when, where, why and how) to help you create questions that can be answered to help expand your idea.

 

It's your idea, your suggestion. You are expected to have fleshed out ideas in a thread that is posted in General Suggestions.

If you want input, a thread in General Suggestions is not where to get it. Ask a friend or post in Nemract's Bar or Wynncraft subforums.
