But if VIP never received any sort of crate, then they would have no cosmetic items to use, which is a huge downgrade from the original VIP perks. I think VIP should receive crates, though not at the rate VIP+ gets them. Maybe make the crate weekly so VIPs can get cosmetics, but at a slower rate than the higher ranks.

At this point, VIPs don't look like donors, and they have nothing to show for their support. Even if 5 "one-time" crates were given upon purchase of the rank, they could at least get a few cosmetics to use (and possibly spark more purchases if they desire more cosmetic items).

No, it's not really worth it.
I think VIP+ is the only rank worth buying based off it's perks and it's pricetag.

 

You got VIP for free, I honestly think you shouldn't complain about the rank... but that's my opinion.

 

He did get VIP for free, but that rarely happens in the community. Most people will have to buy the rank, and the OP's points from a person having to buy the rank are valid. VIP has no cosmetics, no perks, and near nothing that shows their support for the server. You could just pay $25 more to get VIP+, and then you practically have access to all of the available cosmetics (which, while not instantly obtained, accumulate over time through the daily crates).

Why is it fair that I can wear Demon Wings and run around with Wybel pets as VIP+ but a VIP player cannot even get one pet or one common cosmetic? Despite the OP getting it for free, he/she has a point in regards to the value of it.

 

Oh you mean the extra banks? You can do basically the same thing with an alt, but with it you can also join other servers.

 

I am sure that this has been said already... but to me... you really shouldn't get the rank just for personal use...yea it can make you look cool, and all that. Blah blah blah... however, I feel like you should get VIP if you support the server, and want to see it improve...

See, the thing is that it just seems a little selfish, and greedy to be complaining about how a rank doesn't give you much... even though everything you get with VIP, VIP+, and Hero... aside from the bombs, are all Cosmetic.

It doesn't give you much unless you just absolutely NEED the cosmetics for some reason... but I will say this: it is really quite greedy in my opinion to expect more from it... think of it this way, if you were to donate to a charity dedicated towards helping towards cancer research, I bet you wouldn't ask for something in return, or expect something in return...

You really should only buy a rank if you want to support them... not for what you get in return... while the rewards are nice, and you get what you pay for... it really isn't about the rewards, or things you get...

But, that's just my opinion...

 

i'm 99% the majority of the current donators (including myself) bought the rank that they have for the perks
if there were no perks that you got from donating, barely any of the current donators would have probably even donated in the first place
giving perks to the ranks = more money spent on ranks, which equals more money is able to be spent for the server
