I play as a mage. A level 43 archer asked me to do the ice dungeon together. I had not done this dungeon yet, had keys, but did not know anything about it. I however got stuck at the ice parkour with the invisible walls. I am really bad at parkour. I looked up youtube vids and googled howto's on minecraft parkour before. I practised parkour a lot and finally I managed to jump over a 2 block gap. I see people make this huge leaps and I fail at this over and over again.

Up until now I have been able to do all parkour in the game using the mage teleport spell. At this ice dungeon parkour however, I can get almost to the end of the parkour, but not to last stepping stone, the single block of ice covered with blue carpet, right before the platform with the exit door.

So as the level 43 archer waited and waited and waited for my to fall off the parkour over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. The archer told me they could not continue without me as a level 67 mage. It started to become less and less fun. Until I quit, leaving the archer stranded.

Could there please be a bypass to this kind of parkour? Maybe a ladder towards the ceiling, some ledges against the walls close to the ceiling, to teleport across and drop down to the door platform. Or larger platforms at the end of the parkour so you can teleport without overshooting every single time and having to start over again.

I prefer parkour that is very, very easy, so I can finish the dungeon.

The parkours from level 67 and up will get pretty hard, so you should try to get better. It will be required if you want to complete all quests.

I can't really say anything...as parkour is probably my strongest spot in Minecraft and I forgot what it's like to be bad at parkour XD

I was under the impression I was not the only one bad at parkour, I guess maybe I am exceptionally bad at parkour.

I was reading the wynncraft design documents and came across the following concerning quest design:

    5. Always act like the player is a 5 years old. ... Make everything as easy and obvious as possible.
    7. ... Players don’t like being stuck forever.
    15. ... make sure it’s not too hard, make sure there is multiple solutions to the challenge.

These points seem to relate to mental dexterity in solving quests and I was thinking maybe the same points could apply to finger dexterity.

Just brain-storming a bit: multiple solutions in a single parkour could be:
    - ledge/bridge high up, can only be reached by archers using the escape spell to circumvent the parkour
    - hidden small ledges/crevices/platforms for mages to spot and teleport across
    - a long meandering and extremely easy parkour (single gaps) for everyone (labyrinth-like (single pathway/one entrance/one exit)) maybe with mobs
    - a high-dexterity parkour to quickly short-cut across this labyrinth-parkour (plus loot chest which can only be reached this way) with visual indications making the short-cut clear to spot

From the wynncraft-wiki: The mage class can skip a lot of areas and puzzles/parkour due to it's teleport spell. I really liked this aspect of the mage class.

I was wondering: are there items that can give the player a jump boost?

using the mage spell for parkour is highly unreliable as it tps u to some place near ur destination.

I had trouble on the first time too... Not being able to cheat my way through the parkour was harrowing... Although it is quite annoying that you are unable to teleport across it, its neat to actually have to do the parkour for once.

Thanks for the help and kind words, it's appreciated. I build the last two jumps of the parkour on a different server and practised for half an hour. I actually made it across a few times. It seems to have broken my wynncraft addiction streak though, this might actually be a good thing for me, I've been playing way too much lately.

I do not know what this means. Is this a way to avoid the invisible walls?

I have bound the minecraft drop key to the minus sign so I do not accidently drop a valuable item. I have now bound the sprint key to Q. I find the Q W combination a little bit easier than the double W tap to jump far. (My keyboard is N-key rollover so this does not pose a problem, multiple key presses at once are properly recognized by the keyboard.)

If anyone wants to practice the second last parkour jump of the Ice dungeon parkour, a similar jump can be practised in Detlas. The path that leads to the entrance of the store of the scoll merchant has a stone fence on both sides. From the stone block next to the street lantern pole, spanning the 4 block wide path to the stone block that forms the base of the scroll sign pole. The jump spans 4 blocks wide and has a 1 block drop.

    ________________________________
Having your sprint key bound to something near W is a pretty good first step, so good job on that. The one thing that is even better is if you can bind it to 3rd mouse button. I personally use E for sprint (Played minecraft back when I was for inventory and never changed, so it was open.) I find that most players struggle with 1 part of parkour even more then others, so mabye ice parkour just isn't your thing. You mentioned having an archer with you right? That can be a big help, as they can give you speed three, making the jump much more easy. Remember to crouch once you complete the jump, so you don't slip off. Another big thing with dungeon in perticular, if (-) walk speed. Even just a little makes parkour 10x harder, so remove any gear with that identification. Lastly, parkour is all about repeating over and over till you get the jump, so mabye remake the room in a creative world, and practice. That's about all I can say though, good luck.
Wow that wall of text =P

I didn't play back when MC used it but I play a lot of real mmos, and that's generally the inventory key there.
A lot of my keys are changed because of this.
