Game Design Nii Runes...

Alright, so. Nii runes are required to enter dungeons. You need 4, 5 or even 6 to enter the first dungeons.
As you know, dungeons are a really good way to get xp. So, Imma just maths a bit.

Spoiler: Meth

The corrupted decrepit sewers is meant for level 70.
Level 70 to 71 takes 844k xp.
The corrupted decrepit sewers gives 56,100 xp.
844,000/56,100=15.044...
Let's just say the mobs you've killed got you those 0.44ish xp points.
You need to run the dungeon 15 times.
Which is 60 runes
60 GODDAMN RUNES.
And it's level 70, not a really high level dungeon that gives extremely broken items.
Then, let's say you just want, like, a Depth.
You need to run it 15 times too.
I don't think level 70s will grind for hours just to get a wand, since you can get a better wand by just leveling up.
And that's the lowest level corrupted dungeon.
Say you are level 78, and want to level up with the corrupted Lost Sanctuary.
You need 1,930,000 xp to level up.
The dungeon gives ~122,700 xp.
You need to run the dungeon 15 times, again.
But this time, you need 90 runes.
What the fuck Wynncraft.

I think we should just remove Nii Runes.
They are pointless, and don't even make sense.

Plus, the only way to get an item is just grinding for days, or buying them.

You want the Fire Sanctuary.
Say you buy Niis for 32 eb each.
32*90=2880
That's 2880 eb.
Which is 45 le.
Just for the runes.
Then you have the keys, which is like 8? le or something, since they sell for ~1 le each.

I feel like corrupted dungeons are plain old fetch quests.
They are exactly the same as normal dungeons. But just fetchy as fuck.

 

This would be an issue if Nii Guardians weren't EVERYWHERE.

 

They are everywhere, sure, but the spawn rate is way too low.

 

Literally walk anywhere from the Light Forest to the entrance of Molten Heights, they're everywhere and they spawn so fast :/

Lets just face it, the problem aren't the runes. The problem is dungeons should give more XP.

Items are still a problem, you need like 5 hours to get one item.
So maybe just buff the xp and nerf the rewards needed/the runes required to craft keys

and what if you have no quests left? what about the higher level dungeons, like the corrupted galleon's graveyard?

 

hummm i didnt read all of it but there still is the fact that if you want the dungeon items you at times need like 10 to 15 eyes/hearts/ whatever. so if you do the Math that means that you can at times need up to 40-60 nii runes... and that is really fetchy .__________. i really think they shouldat least buff the spawn rates a bit .-.

 

The fact of the matter is that you're encouraged to grind dungeons to get the cool rewards from them, and for the most part it's pretty worth it to do so...except once you get to the Corrupted Dungeons because you need to kill 2-4 Nii Guardians to even create the key. While I do think the Nii Guardians should stay, I feel like it should be 1:1 on the repair for the keys.

 

I grinded for four days to get the thunder bow from that dungeon...

Just let players transfer broken keys to runes . I have too much keys .

But 20 is still a lot imo ;w;

 

I found this great grinding spot if you need it (reply saying you need it) and you can pretty much afk and get corrupted lost sanctuary guardians and nii guardians. I got enough for 6 keys in like 30ish minutes
