I'd really love to have atmospheric sounds. In fact I would be happy to provide them myself if they would be integrated. Just a looping background sample emitting from select spots would do the trick. (a lot of spots to be sure)

I play without the music on, because it doesn't play with proper timing and I find it really annoying and distracting. And so pretty much the only noise is when you walk or hit a mob or do some transaction. Which makes it sound pretty lonely.

On the savanna you should be able to hear the wind rustling the grass, in the mine area you should hear some sounds of working/digging (I did hear one sound there which certainly helps and made me think of this in the first place)

birds in the background - how could would that be? (not to mention actually having birds flying around)

    crickets at night

    water flowing/splashing near water

things like that. relatively straightforward, nothing too fancy. and again I can provide samples, I could help make it possible.

it can be used too, to set the stage when you approach an area (like a dungeon) to change the mood.

This is actually n̶o̶t̶ a bad idea.

Firstly, water and wind are already in te Environmental section of Music and Sounds, and then you can find out that you can edit your sound files that Wynncraft cant change to make it sound like rustling grass.

Having said that, if wynn craft can change them, just download the wynnpack/ copy it into your normal resource packs folder, disable texture packs, make a pack with your sounds, put it above the wynnpack, and voila.

That only took 20 minutes - "oh wait, I just missed my lootrun! A shit! " says MineMan3498i102348 as he follows my procedure

i didn't say the music sucked, I said it is not playing in time. It isn't consistent. It sounds like a crap music player.

that said, I don't like music playing in the background at all.

as for 'how to do it' i'm not a minecraft modder so i don't know, however i've heard it on other servers without mods, so i'm pretty sure its doable.

this is pretty basic stuff - atmospheric sounds (whether or not there is music) - some of you make it sound like it's unheard of. no pun intended.

Dont bother looking and searching everything that is wrong with this post. Im not stopping you from having a negative opinion to the idea but focus on what he is talking about and not about the polls.

I think it can be a very nice addition to wynn, as sometimes I dont want to hear music. Having the ability to switch (or play together) between music and environment sounds will make the wynncraftian experience more alive.
Im not good with rescource packs and shits like that and if your idea doesnt really boosts through the roof you can just create an enviromental texture pack sounds.

But i do need to adress the problem where just making new "cave sounds 1" audio file doesnt really gets you in the mood. So I do think letting the CMDs and noteboockers work on it as a nice addition to the game can be great.

Also as its a "new feature" adding a toggle command (/toggle musical and or /toggle environment sounds) will help reduce the amount of people who "hates" it - as you can just toggle it.

    Great idea!

Like the idea. Could be cool. +1 Supporter ~ The poll sucks though

Also, you should be able to toggle the ambiance using the /toggle command. Some people might like it, and it might sound weird if music is playing as well.

He's right, the music player kind of sucks with the lag.... But our music is dope!!

In response to the suggestion itself...
We may or may not already be considering something like this. It would be something in the resource pack, and the main limitation for our sounds is just pack size. But like I said, this is not guaranteed to happen.

    How will this work exactly....

If war use a resource pack we can't use a /toggle command, therefore making music (for us music listeners) sound like shit

Well after all wynn enchantics is player made wynn mod that helps wynn....why not make a wynn mod that gives enviornmental sounds that will mute (by quickly fading) if there is mo music (no jukebox playing)
