    The Concept: Add Books
Players will be able to obtain written books throughout the world. The content of these books would include official lore (The Corruption, Gavel's decay, Fruma, Corkus, Dern, Bloomi, Bob, Siegfried, Morgor, etc.), small stories, guides, tips and tricks and the likes. They would be written by a team of lore enthusiasts who are experienced with writing. When you get to the last page of a book you will get a small amount of experience. This would be based on your level. You need to spend a certain amount of time on each page in order to get the XP reward. This is to prevent people from spamming through the pages of a book for free XP. Anyways, maybe the values could be something like this?
    Levels 1-20: 10% of a level
    Levels: 21-40: 7% of a level
    Levels 41-60: 5% of a level
    Levels 61-80: 3% of a level
    Levels 81-100: 1% of a level
When you read a book it will send you a message telling you how much XP you got. These values would encourage lower level players to search for books as an alternative to grinding. It would also help them understand the lore of the world as they progress.

    Obtaining Books:
You will be able to get books in two different ways. The first way is through NPCs like Citizens and the V.S.S. Seaskipper Captain. The other way is through book piles. Wynncraft has a block that looks like a stack of books. If you right click the pile you will have a 3% chance of getting 1 book and a 1% chance of getting 2 books. You cannot get more than 1 book a minute. You can only get a book from the same stack every 24 hours. You will also be able to get books from some merchants, quests, and dungeons. All books will be untradable. I think a good goal for an amount of books is around 100-300 so that there is a lot of unique content that players can seek out and enjoy.

Anyways, that is the summary of the idea. Vote what you think of it. Thanks for reading!

Well, maybe this could work. Although, a 5% chance of getting a book, any time you click a book stack, seems like it could be abused. You could sit there and spam right click the stack until your inventory filled up with books. Maybe you could only click each stack once on each server.

Ill make it so you can only get 1 book a minute? I'll also make it so you have a 3% chance to get 1 book, and a 1% chance to get 2 books?

What type of item are they? Quest, untradable, normal?
I think this could be a good way to spread the lore to people that don't know it!

I don't think stat boosts are a good idea, as they will just become ridiculously expensive. Books for fun would be cool though.

Oh, didn't see that. In that case they would just become kind of unfair. Maybe giving XP would be a better alternative.

Yeah that works. Makes more sense logically too. Read a book, you can more knowledge/experience.

    So 4 things.

    1) This has been suggested before with more depth and detail. It was a really good idea too.

    2) Please stop with the Bloomi and Morgor thing...

    3) I don't belive they can easily book piles can be broken like pots can, as the books are already in places where they are meant NOT to be broken

    4) We already have libraries with some of such info like the Bob, Provence, and Twain libraries...

Bloomi was an example grian mentioned in the stream, and it instantly got shitposted and memed. Morgor was when he slipped up saying Mordor and the same thing happened.

As for the post, sounds good, but I think there should be
    A) a timer for how long you read the book of its possible, to prevent people spamclicking through. Also for some snarky responses if you read for too short/long ex for if the book was read in 1 second: this isn't the terms and conditions, you know.

    B) a message to let people know they gained xp. Maybe along the lines of after reading this historical tome, you feel as if you understand more about this world. (+65 XP)

Yeah, I thought of the timer idea, but failed to include it because memory issues or some stuff. Not too big on the snarky terms though. Will add the XP message.

    3. I never said the piles would be broken... I just said that you could get a book from right clicking them
    4. Yes, I know I have been to every library, but more available lore never hurt anyone. Considering how interested you seem to be in the lore of Wynncraft, I am somewhat disappointed that you frown upon more lore.

Perhaps instead of spam right clicking book cases for your grind from 99-100, maybe add some danger.
A possible mob drop from lore based mobs.

Maybe all books should just be in small hidden places that are placed in the area where the lore of the book is based around.

Maybe it could be at some place related to Dern, like in the abandoned mines or in some hidden place in the realm you go to during fantastic voyage.
