(1/4) Sanses: Excuse me. Are you busy? I need help with something.
(2/4) Sanses: You see, I am currently enrolled in an alchemy class. I was supposed to study today for an important test that will take place in a few days.
(3/4) Sanses: I normally come here to study, as it's quite peaceful and good for reading. But a huge spider took my textbook and skittered away. I think I saw it go into Nivla Woods.
(4/4) Sanses: Would you mind retrieving it? I would do it myself, but spiders are quite... scary and either way, I don't own a weapon.

(2/8) Sanses: Wait a second. Oh, no.
(3/8) Sanses: The spider completely put this book into horrible condition. The spine has bite marks in it, most of the pages are ripped in at least one place or another, and the cover has a huge scratch.
(4/8) Sanses: What a waste. That book costed my family $5 EB.
(5/8) Sanses: I suppose it should be returned to the academy.
(6/8) Sanses: But I think I'll do that. You've already helped me a bunch.
(7/8) Sanses: And from the looks of your armor and skin, that spider did quite a number on you.
(8/8) Sanses: Thank you for your help. You're quite a strong fellow, if you were able to survive all that. Here, have a few Emeralds. I would give you more, but we'll probably have to pay a lot of money to purchase a replacement book. Thanks again!

2: still not enough really, you need 100 XP to get from level 1 to 2 I'd recommend somewhere between 1-2k
3.its a bit too easy for a medium level 20 quest

 

I have changed the xp to 1k and changed the difficulty to Easy. Thanks for the feedback.

I would raise the strength requirement.
There's a level 10 or something bow that requires 10 strength, and this is level 20.
I'd recommend a 14 strength requirement, or something within 1-2 skill points of 14.
Also, if the fang did come from a spider, I'd recommend adding some sort of poison (say... 15/4s as a max) - but not enough that people playing other classes will get salty.

I don't know. I imagined it would be a dagger or something. If this is a major flaw I'll change it to something that's more "classually sensitive."

 

Unless the dagger is supposed to be sold for like le later on like the masterpice, it is a major flaw.

How about this:
As part of his studies, Sanses wants to try to restore the book to its former 'glory.' He'll need you to get some items, maybe something like Bat Ears, and Magical Essence. Magical Essence would found killing blah blah blah, from somewhere in Nivla Forest. Then, as Sanses is doing the spell, cutscene is happening, the potion goes KA BLOOEY. Sanses is very injured, and he needs you to brew a tonic of healing, quick. You are then teleported to a burning Nivla Forest, and you need to gather some ingredients (2 lazy to name) and brew the tonic for Sanses. You would only have 5 minutes before Sanses dies, and if Sanses dies, then you need to restart. If Sanses dies 3 times, you have the option to let him die. If you let him die, you get the rewards, looted from his body, and you finish the quest. You also get two rings called "Terrible Guilt," and " You decide the stats and stuff. If you save him, you get 10% more the reward than if you killed him, and you get a necklace called "Altruistic." Stats 'n stuff are left to you.
Methinks that should be added, so it's not totally a fetch quest.
EDIT: Changed the spells to potions

 

Consider buffing the spider's health to say, 150-200? 50 hp seems too little even for a level 20 boss.

 

The reward is way to low for XP and EM but also their should be a path or even a cave the spider is living to make it easier to find, because it seems like its in such a random unnoticeable spot with no landmarks no one would ever find, otherwise i like the idea.
