This suggestion includes multiple small towns and villages that could really be more unique, so there's a reason to visit besides the one time you have to go there for a quest. However, that doesn't mean they should have a bank, scroll merchant, item buyer etc. so it becomes like any other big town or city. Not at all. But stuff like Bremminglar's unique weapons and armor and Iboju village's masks is what I'm thinking of. Your suggestions are also very welcome.

    Nivla Village
Besides the bowl merchant for the Mushroom Man quest, there are no services worth mentioning. Now I know what you're thinking: isn't there an accessory merchant there?

Yes, yes there is. It's not any good though. There's one very lame bracelet and nothing else. You already get a good bracelet at low levels for the Elemental Exercise quest. At first I thought it was because there were barely any accessory items below level 10 (atleast, I had never gotten one) but when I looked at the item guide, I saw there were plenty of accessory items at level 10 or lower. The accessory merchant could offer 4-6 of them. Also, make the tree bracelet give +1 health regen (so no %) to make it suck less.

And bring back the leaf armor merchant. I know you can get it from mobs now, but you're not very likely to get the full set. It'd be nice for players if they could kill mobs for 2/3 pieces and buy the remaining 1/2.

The place also lacks defenses of any kind despite its location in a spider-infested forest. I made a mock-up of a defensive wall with guards for Nivla Village. Keep in mind I'm not an actual builder and it would look way better than I ever could.

Spear-wielding guards are stationed on the ground, and archer guards on the wall. The wall would form a perimeter around the village with 4 entrances, one on each orientation (north, south, west, east). The east entrance would also have a dirt trail that joins up with the road leading to the lost sanctuary.

Another idea I had was introducing an alternative currency to Nivla Village, similar to Rymek. Why not use string or mushrooms to buy accessories and leaf armor instead of emeralds?

    Ravine Village
First off, a little suggestion I've made before to add a little flavor the village, make some of the villagers spawn with the name of 'Creeper Skeptic', as a reference to the quest.

The place has absolutely no services, so I was thinking it could have a nice inn embedded into the cliffside. Call it 'The Cliffside Inn'. Inside would be a bartender (potion merchant) selling unique brews. One idea I have is for a potion called 'Angry Pigman Ale', which gives a temporary boost of speed and melee damage.

    Iboju Village
I liked the mask merchant very much, why not add another merchant you can pay in Antic Beads? You could have a 'Shaman' selling unique potions for Antic Beads. There's plenty of effects that we haven't used for potions yet. The Shaman could sell potions of Reflection and/or potions of Thorns.

    Elkurn
A Cow Pass merchant in Elkurn would be neat. The village already has a marketplace, unfortunately only one of the stands is used (the mushroom merchant)

    Bremminglar
Increase the level of the tribal armor, and buff it aswell. It's too low level for the area you're buying it in, especially considering you have to go kill so many ocelots. And make the Potato merchant pay a lot more for rare potatoes, 8 emeralds is nothing.

Great suggestion Marked! The villages right now are pretty lame and they would need some improvements, to add life to the environment.

Yeah, I also think cities could use more sprawl and suburbs. If I had to pick, not that I would like to, I would prefer improving villages over cities because there's places like Bucie that have zero services.

All these cities are supposed to be sustained off of trade, but really most of them have just one quest, a few mobs, and like, 4 houses.
We need an upgrade. There should be merchants and npcs. A lot more flavor to the world.
I understand it's a lot of work, but that's whan an MMO is behind the scenes. Lots and lots of work.

Uh... not all settlements are cities, and they aren't supposed to be cities either. If a place is small there's nothing wrong with keeping it small, not every place can have the full deal (bank, item buyer, weapon merchant, armor merchant, item identifier, potion merchant, powder master etc.)

My point is that they should offer something that the cities can't.

For the tribal armor it's wolves you have to kill making it even worse for players wanting to use it
