Because I'm sure the CT were just about to release an update that added flying cars until this post was made. Damn you! Foiled again!

 

Wynncraft currently is, and always will be medieval I believe.
Though ??? is a bit futuristic, everything else is medieval. Wynn will probs never have mech suits, zombie apocalypses, sniper rifles, and so on. There will never be tactial nukes, hovercrafts, flying cars, spaceships, lasers, wormholes, multiple planet expansions, hyper drives, space battles, mechanical soldiers, Time travel, Climate Change, Nuclear war, evil space aliens. And so on

Climate Change is literally the reason nesaak is in any way, shape, or form, in a crisis. Its talked about in one of the NPCs.

wynn is a fantasy theme ffs, ya know, magic n shit

Here are the bad things:
-Keeping wynn a fantasy theme would not make any damn since at all. Imagine, there was no industry, no science at all. That would have bring up more questions: How did we make this? How does this work? How did we end up here? Not just that, but it would harm variety and reasoning in wynn. It would harm quest (quartztrons eye and 1000 meters below ashmord) and quest suggestions. There has to be a role in a game that has to make discoveries and help benefit his/her society.

If you mean "keep the architecture/build style the same" then sure

 

Personally I feel like Wynn is already less of a medieval setting and more of a steampunk setting,what with magical engineering and airships and whatnot

 

I would hope that Wynncraft never delves too far into futuristic/steampunk elements. What I love is the fantasy of it, it doesn't need science to explain it, it is the beauty of magic. I would be able to tolerate the steampunk technology of Corkus, although it must be specifically reinforced that it is powered through magic, not mechanical steam engineering. The Power Plant and Quartron was perhaps a bit much, too close to creating mechs from other games. The An Iron Heart quests I do approve of, the gruesome nature of it did feel magical. Keeping the fantasy pure is my ideal, there are other games if you are looking for a futuristic element.

Grian said somewhere that Wynncraft doesn't have a set time frame so pretty much anything can happen. That explains the UFOs, futuristic technology and things that didn't exist in the 1400s.
