World Dern Biome/region Ideas

I wanted to share some ideas I had for biomes and regions that could be added into the Dern province. All of these biome types would have to fit the corrupted and twisted bill that dern would play off. I hope you like them!


The Ruinous: This would be the "Default" biome. It would function similarly to the plains of Ragni and Llevigar; the introduction to the province. It would look very similar to the otherworldly realm in The Fantastic Voyage quest. Ruins, winding paths, and otherworldly inhabitants would be trademarks of this region

The Mirror Canyons: Assuming that Dern is south of Wynn; it would be separated by the world border. The mirror canyons would be an exact mirror of the rymek canyons. This regions would bare monochrome rock, instead of the browns and reds we see in the regular canyons.

Red Sands: Having a mirror canyons, there should be a desert region as well! The Red sands will be a desert covered in red, coarse sand; infested by deadly creatures. Ruins, quicksand, and dried up oasis's will be abundant. Another strange feature about this region is that its unnaturally cold.

Pungent Preludes: A noxious, craterous land scape filled with geysers that spew poison gas. The terrain is a sickly yellow and monsters that have learned to breathe the fumes are found here. Some geysers are so active that the gasses block out portions of the sky.

The Forever woods: Derns's signature forest. The trees here are gray, stalky, leafless, and tower to the heavens. A mysterious fog congregates at the base of the forest every night, and from that fog mysterious creatures immerge. During the day the forever woods are deafly quiet, but at night the monsters roam scavenge for something.

These are actually quite nice ideas :)

 

Some like Mirror Canyons and Pungeant Preludes sound nice, but the others are just reskins of old areas.
