1.11 And Shulker Boxes

This would cause compatibility issues with anyone using other versions, but i for one am always getting annoyed about the quest items clogging up my enderchest. i think that players should be able to buy shulker boxes for 1LE, they are allready coded as backpacks, so it would work. they could also be used for extended grinding runs.

 

I'll just bring a shulker box full of shulker boxes with me when I grind, it would only cost 28Le for over 28x the inventory space.

No no no no no no no, that's not how it works. You can't put shulker boxes in shulker boxes.

 

Fine, I'll just fill my inventory with Shulker Boxes and still have 27x the inventory space.

 

umm... you can not Place or access them in adventure mode.

That is not really a problem with code. Some clever use of clicking the box and opening a GUI that would alter the box's data and you could have the bank have a huge storage space. Maybe instead of buying slots in your bank you buy shulker boxes. Of course they would only be in a bank and not able to be carried around, and each box will get progressively more expensive.

 

Isn't there a simple solution to this by just limiting for players to own one each?

 

Maybe a row of enderchest space taken by locked shulker boxes, each getting progressively more expensive.
Box 1 = 3x cost of final row enderchest
Box 2 = 1.5x cost of box one
Etc.
