Facebook Group!

Hello Friends!

Today I am here to suggest a new thing that hasn't ever been suggested before on this forum.
And I think it's a briliant idea!
What if the staff created a "Wynncraft Facebook Group"?
Woudln't it be great if all members could stay in contact with each other, even when they're NOT online on the server!? Imagine how many new friendships could be made within a week or two.

And yes, maybe it sounds just like the forum, but seriously, who browses the web on the phone to check their notifications on the forum? It would be much more simple if they just opened Messenger or the Facebook App on the phone and noticed that one or more items is for sale, or if they have been invited to a new guild.

I'm also talking real life friendships, maybe 2 persons are well connected on the forum and server, and really want to meet each other and create a long lasting friendship..ORRRR Relationship, this would do it hundred percent! ;)

Please let me know what you think about the idea, and if this could be possible.
I see this as a great opputunity for new players that have just discovered the server, and for older players that have 5 level 101 characters.

Maybe their should be a few separate ones for new players veterans high level and low level ?

I really like the idea, but I think great parts of the community are already linked through the forums, or programs such as Skype, TeamSpeak or Discord. Nonetheless, if there's enough demand a Facebook group doesn't sound bad at all!

 

Heres an example of a group that I just randomly passed by on Facebook.

All these are great ways to stay connected! But when you're on the phone and dont have access to a pc, a Facebook group would be easier to handle.

E.g If you was going on a vacation, and you forgot to let your guild know that you are going to be inactive for the next week or two, they might kick you.
But if you let them know through the Facebook group, or a personal Messenger group you and your guild created, the kick could be avoided.

Right now the Messenger app has 900million downloads.
And Facebook 1,09 billion daily active users.
An average person who uses Facebook spends atleast 28 minutess (Yes, these are statistics)

Teamspeak 3 is paid on phone, and not many people need it there as they could just use the computer version free.
But I like the Skype & Discord, not many people use Discord though.
A Skype group could also be great! ;)

+ This idea would help promote the server.

More players equals more money
More money equals better creations, bug fixes, new plugins etc.
Better creations, bug fixes & new plugins equals better experience for players!

And that just makes the server much much better^

There are already some different language Wynncraft groups created by private users. But I am talking an international group for the wynncraft members all over the world ;)

 

1. Wrong section. Thought this was the Wynncraft section.
2. Forums is a good website, it has conversations, threads and shoutbox. This facebook group would only house the shoutbox part.
3. People might have abandoned Facebook, or they have only one email with their real name they don't wanna spoil, or personal details they had written.

Conclusion: I don't think this idea would work.

2. Forums is a good site to stay in contact with players you are playing with, a Facebook group is the same, but more social.
3. I dont like the fact that you're saying people/players is/are affraid of other players/people knowing their name or some sort of personal information.

Problem with facebook is that it uses peoples real life names. I don't know about you all, but I would be unconfortable with people from the forums knowing my real name and other personal information.

Why is that a bad thing in your opinion ?

 

1. I apologized.
2. I don't think Facebook is better than a site Wynncraft owns.
3. People don't like to be spoiled by who they are, even 20~ year olds do it.

 

Cause you've gotten a name for a reason.
And what is wrong with people knowing your name?
+ Theres options on facebook that doesnt allow people to check your profile if you arent friends with them.

The ingame username gives many a sense of anonymity some sort of protection so that the stuff said or done online wont affect them later on in real life.
And here is a counter statement for you, if a clearly drunk person would come up to you and asked for your name would you tell it.

If someone knows only your name, that name can be easily used to get even more info on you like where you live...

 

A drunk person would forget my name the next day, even if I told them several times.
I can't see why Minecraft players who is having a good time would try to ruin others life xD

 

I don't know we only need one person who does something bad with the information, you can't say that all people in the internet have good intentions not even in wynncraft.
