Talk to Tersyak in Rodoroc at [1048, 25, -5224]

- Quest Book -

    *----------*----------*

- Under Level Dialogue -

[1/2] Tersyak: I may have a job for you, but you don't quite fit the bill. Come back when you're level 92.

[2/2] Tersyak: Until then you didn't see anything...

- Under Level Dialogue -

- Information -

An armor stand wearing "Fancy" clothing should be lying on the ground, or up against the wall, it should also be an NPC named: Ambassador Jerald.

I'm not sure how Doguns are supposed to talk so I'm going to go with whatever.

Names are changeable, I know you guys like to use staff, but I don't know many so I'll just use an anagram of my own.

- Information -

    *----------*----------*

- Dialogue -

[1/11] Tersyak: Oh, a human, that makes this so much easier.

[2/11] Tersyak: Now, I know what this looks like, but he’s not dead, just unconscious.

[3/11] Tersyak: He’s the Human Ambassador to the Dwarves.

[4/11] Tersyak: Wait! Before you report me to the guards, at least hear me out.

[5/11] Tersyak: I did this to help all of our kinds.

[6/11] Tersyak: The Doguns want peace!

[The ambassador groans from the corner]

    [7/11] Tersyak: This is a bad example…

[8/11] Tersyak: Listen, I can make it worth your while, but it’ll get dangerous if you’re caught.

[9/11] Tersyak: All you have to do is impersonate the ambassador and give this speech.

[Tersyak hands you a few crumpled sheets of paper]

[10/11] Tersyak: You’ll need the ambassador’s seal to certify the speech, and his outfit as a

    disguise.

[11/11] Tersyak: Check him while he’s still unconscious.

    [2/7] Tersyak: …

[3/7] Tersvak: He was supposed to have the seal.

[4/7] Tersvak: You can’t certify the speech without the seal.

[5/7] Tersyak: I bet he left it in his office when he went out drinking.

[6/7] Tersyak: The ceremony will be starting soon, you may not have time, but you have to try.

[7/7] Tersyak: To get into the palace you need to go to (uhh?). Go down the hall and to the left to reach the office.

Enter the palace at (uhh?) and get the seal from the ambassador’s office.

- Quest Book -

    *----------*----------*

- Information -

I couldn’t find anywhere in Rodoroc to put the palace entrance.

So I’ll just describe an entrance idea to you.

A small circular entrance defended by two guards.

If you try to enter without the robes they’ll tell you. “This area is off limits to civilians.”

Once you enter with the robes it will teleport you to a hallway in the ‘palace’.

You’ll cross a tripwire that initiates a single dialogue with the guards.

At the end of the hallway you can turn left to goto the office, or right to goto the auditorium.

- Information -

- Dialogue -

(When you activate the tripwire past the guards).

[1/1] Eradian Guard: Oh ambassador! It’s starting, you should go down the hall and to the right, immediately!

[1/3] Ambassador Jerald: They’re the one who robbed me! They’re even wearing my robes!

[2/3] Eradian Guard: What would you like us to charge them with, sir?

[3/3] Ambassador Jerald: They’re obviously just a petty thief. Charge them with assault of a diplomat and larceny!

- Information -

The bars and a back wall should be an NPC.

[2/6] Tersyak: The ambassador got the jump on me, knocked me out from behind.

[4/6] Tersyak: My people dug a tunnel to these cells, but the latch is on your side.

[5/6] Tersyak: It’s on a loose brick on that wall, I can’t reach it.

[6/6] Tersyak: Now is our chance, the warden is asleep!

Hello! Hello! Thank you for having me, you’re all great!

I’d like to talk about a problem you guys are having.

The Doguns are a real liability, they could cause a lot of trouble.

Which is why I propose a movement plan!

Hello. I’m here to talk about an issue I have. The Doguns.

Now I can’t say a thing about your problems, but I can say this.

What you’re doing is wrong. You have them locked up like animals.

When at war, we tend to forget, they have children too.

If you can’t think of the kids, think of yourself. Let’s talk trade.

What could you gain by helping, instead of hurting.

Thank you for listening. I hope my speech found your heart.

    The Emerald.
    Emeralds come from the Nether.
    'Nether' has 6 letters.
    'Emerald' has 7 letters.
    6 + 7 = 13
    Illuminati has 13 bloodlines.
Emeralds also come in blocks and liquids,
    'Liquid' has 6 letters.
    'Block' has 5 letters.
    6 - 5 = 1
    13 - 1 = 12
    1 + 2 = 3
    A triangle has 3 sides.
    Emeralds are Illuminati.
    Confirmed.
    -
    Salted, Grian, and Jumla.
    'Salted' has 6 letters.
'Grian' and 'Jumla' both have 5 letters each
    6 + 5 + 5 = 16
    There are 3 of them.
    16 - 3 = 13
There are 13 bloodlines in Illuminati.
    They made Wynn.
    'Wynn' has 4 letters.
    16 + 4 = 20
In a right triangle if one angle is 20, the other must be 70.
    90 - 70 = 20
    20 - 20 = 0
'0' and '1' are used in binary.
0 is shaped like a hole.
    Eyes look through holes.
    Holes must also be dug.
'Eye' and 'Dig' have 3 letters each
    3 + 3 = 6
    'Hole' has four letters.
    6 - 4 = 2
'0' and '1' are used in binary.
    2 + 0 + 1 = 3
    It also has 3 numbers.
    The owners are Illuminati, confirmed.

This is really really great! So many options!
However, I disagree with the last part. If you fail the speech, you should start over, not end the quest and give half the emeralds. Too much of a punishment.

Nice work! It's really well thought out, and really complements the quests already in place in terms of lore, color scheming and general game design.

This might be the BEST quest suggestion I have ever seen...

    Doguns disappointment lore idea:
The worn bracelet of a peace loving Dogun. When you gaze at the genstone fixed in the center, it fills you with all kinds of emotion.

Peaceful amuulet is WAY too op. It can't have both xp bonus, hp bonus, AND mana regen. That would shift the balance of end game necklaces from will power to this.

Hey, quite a nice suggestion! It's certainly part of the better ones, and I'd love to provide some feedback.

While the story was well thought out and had an interesting start it got a bit too confusing later on.
Providing the player with a lot of choices is fine, but it's also possible to exaggerate; the player not knowing what to do or feeling like he missed out on something being some of the core problems.
Not all quests have to be of such great extent, but your attempt wasn't bad at all. As previously mentioned, I really like your concept & unique ideas, but especially the dialouges could use some work.
Try to add more atmosphere through dialouges, and create unique personalities for your characters using them. Maybe add a gimmick to certain ones, such as e.g. stuttering.

    (Or maybe that's just me)
(I spent forever working on it so everything is a little blurry)

The warden was the "I've seen it all" whatever guy.
And the steward was a pompous noble.
Though it may seem different to others as I wrote it with these ideas in my head.
But the interpretation is all the fun of a new story.

I can see what you were aiming for, but in my opinion there's still potential for the dialouges to represent those characteristics even more.

It's clear you put a lot of work into this. I don't know if its possible to have 4 different endings though...

Also, you forgot the under-level dialogue.

    Other than that, really good!

(there was one more thing I was gonna say but I forget it, lol)
