Have you ever tried killing mobs for a mission, only to have it run out of time just before you killed the last mob and you get no XP? Well, look no further than this thread! Example of this:
Lets say you have 8 minutes to kill 20 mobs. If time runs out, and you killed 12 or more (60%), you get an extra 4 minutes to complete the mission.

50% is a bit much, but the foundation of the idea is solid. Maybe tweak the numbers a bit to not be so good?

 

I think 50% is a good amount, you should have enough time to finish the mission if it recognizes you're actually doing it (aka 60% requirement)

 

Eh... Getting 1.5x the amount of normal time just for trying to do the mission doesn't really seem that balanced. It should be enough for you to finish the mission with some effort, not become a stroll in the park.

 

Then what's the reward for actually completing a mission in time? Maybe a portion of the XP reward could be cut if the mission was extended, say 20%~40%

 

well in most cases i get missions when i'm in a town that is i feel like 2hours away and when i come to the mobs the mission wants i have a minute or 30seconds left.. i always try to still complete the mission but if i have to kill 26mobs and have killed 21 and it runs out of time.. its just a big middlefinger

 

Well technically we did change some stuff. Like removeing the duel missions (and maybe loot chests missions too? I can't remember...) and buffed the XP of missions.

Anyway, I don't like the suggestion. It ruins all the challenge...

I think we should add on to this, they are right though 50% is a bit much i'm thinking more 25%.
Increase the amount of mobs and XP so they become more worth it, even with the xp boost they're pretty meh, they're balanced, but it takes me like 1 minute to kill 15 frozen guards for 12k xp.
I'd prefer to take 10 minutes to kill 150 frozen guards for 120k xp.

 

You're not obligated to do missions. If you're in a situation where you're not easily able to do a mission, you shouldn't really go for it anyway.

well.. i'm super lazy when it comes to grinding so if i have the chance to get some xp i take it. the problem is i only get missions when i'm afk or standing around in a city so i have to run there if i get a mission.
