    Class Passives!

As lots of people know, after level 68 there are no more ability upgrades. This means that after that level, there's not much new to expect in terms of cool abilities. This is where a class passive comes in.

    What's a Class Passive?

A class passive is a passive ability that is unlocked as you level up. It goes from 25, 50, 75 to 90. At 100, you unlock your 'Ultimate Passive.' These passive abilities can range from extra damage, to a whole new game changing mechanic. These abilities vary from class to class.

    How do I Get/Use a Class Passive?

Simple. Level up. The class passive will automatically activate upon leveling up, no need for crazy shenanigans.

    What are the Passives?

So nice of you to ask. Here's the list:

    Passive No. 1

    The Art of Magic

Description: After slaying monsters and helping villagers with your magic for a while, you start to feel more attuned to the elements.

Effect: +1/4 permanent mana regeneration. You deal 10% more damage to mobs with elemental weaknesses.

    Unlocked: Lv. 25

    Passive No. 2

    Magician

    Passive No. 3

    Master Mage

Description: The Elder Powers flow through your veins, enhancing your power by a hundredfold. There is no stopping you now.

    Unlocked: Lv. 75

    Passive No. 4

    Sorceror Supreme

Description: You are the god of this world. The fundamental forces bend to your every wish and whim, granting you nigh unlimited power.

Effect: Teleport spell now has a range of 30 blocks. Meteor stuns and blinds enemies. Ice snake has a 5% chance of devouring (dealing the same amount of damage as your current HP multiplied) to enemies.

Though this is a very interesting idea that can add a lot, there are several problems I find here:

    1) A fair amount of these passives are just too OP especially the Sorcerer Supreme; I've seen people complain about the heal spell being op and the buff to said spell would make a lot of their points more true. On top of that it would be a bit ridiculous having arrows home in on targets I feel like that should require skill or some more detail

    2) Some of these passives are just spell upgrades and I feel as thou spell upgrades should remain separate for this aspect you are trying to add.

There is a good premise of a mechanic here but you need to bear in mind how this concept will influence the balance of the game if it were added.

Thanks for the advice! Can you provide potential nerfs/changes to the abilities?

I'll be working on warrior pretty soon!
As for the archer ability, I may need to make a scale based on attack speed. Nerfing now.

Great idea but I don't think making mage's basic attack based of spell damage would be a good thing, it would kind of ruin Melee builds for Mage. Also some of the damage buffs on archer seem a bit op in my opinion. I do also have the concern that it kind of forces certain builds down your throat like spell Mage, part of elements and stuff was to make people try out more interesting builds but if classes have certain passives that promote a generic build there will be little to no variation in builds for classes. So unfortunately I'm going to say no on this one, it is a good concept though it does have some potential.

    These things are super strong.
Combined with the already existing passives in the game.... (Warrior base defense 120%)

Homing arrows? that is like... the new way to kill anything outside of aggro range of most monsters.
I don't really want to look at the rest....

    Honestly, really overpowered.
Also I feel as if you should limit it to 3 passive levels, starting at 41, then 56. then 76
To keep it inline with the rest of Wynn's skills
Also soloing bosses would become like 10x easier

passives should be suttle, and not huge like this, since these would be active FOREVER (no requirements outside of level)
Even silences won't remove passives, it only prevents active abilities

I say, tone these down a lot.
Or suggest how other mobs will be scaled to be more difficult

Hmm, I agree that the passive do have to be toned down. I put it at OP to see how the community would react to toning passive down. That being said having only 3 would kinda defeat the purpose of this thread, as I want to have a cool ultimate a bility that players can work towards. Nerfing some things.

I really think that some seemed little too overpowered(if not most of them),and in my opinion, passive abilities are supposed to be something that adds a little touch to your class, making them more unique, maybe not very game changing or super powerful…here are some passive I think that's a little more balanced,of course you can choose to take this or not
    =====
    Archer
    Lvl 25 - Hunter
You're a skilled hunter, tracking and hunting your preys down were what you were born to do
-A hunter's sight makes you so that you can see players and entities 12 blocks further than normal people
    -----
    Lvl 50 - Sniper
No living creatures escapes your eyesight in one piece...
-Doubled damage and range when sneaking,10% for spells
    -----
    Lvl 75 - Eaglesight
They can never hide from you…
-Arrows pierce through a certain amount of blocks based on their damage. You can also see enemies through walls if they are within 13 blocks of you
    -----
    Lvl 90 - Arrow Trick
Using the precious hunter skills, arrows on your hand becomes a deadly toy of mastery
-Basic attacks will now ricochet upon hitting walls until its speed rans out, they also have a 12% chance to split into 2 arrows when ricochetting
    -----
    Lvl 100 - Artemis's Hunter
Skilled, legendary and swift, you always strike without any witnesses…
-Each time you hit an enemy with your basic attacks, you will gain a 3% damage boost and 1% walk speed boost, this can be stacked to +60% damage and +20% walk speed, after missing 3 hits and casting a spell will reset this passive, all the damage boost will apply to the spell if you cast one while the boost is active
    =====

Just something like this you know,of course this is only my suggestions and I don't mean that yours aren't good

Well I'm not exactly someone who has experience but for starters, I would

    1) Nerf 'One Shot, One Kill' to be 5% chance to deal 3x the damage. With this the passive is still powerful but the probability still keeps it in check and its power would only be second to meteor

    2) For 'Master Mage' it should be replaced with another new passive because we already have something akin to this in the form of the blue powder special for the armor

    3) For the warrior, well... a LOT of the number should be crunched down as this is ridiculous when you stack it up. On top of that, some abilities are copies of item IDs. Personally, I would overhaul the warrior if I was writing, (no offense as this probably took a lot of time to do) there are so many problems with this part but this post is just to give you an idea of the kind of stuff that needs to happen for this thread to be as awesome as it could be.

Respawn as in respawn on the spot. No soul points deducted. No teleporting back to the closest city.

Nerfing :) Though the seeing mobs thing wouldn't be great, since some players have really crappy computers (my own) and cant handle a render distance of 3 or more. Also, this would lag the server since you'd have to spawn mobs in alot more

this may be one of the best suggestions i have seen (personal Preference no hate pls)

although i think Warrior Lord commander needs to be nerfed a bit like maybe a percentage to not take any debuffs instead of a immunity
