Game Design Lifesteal On Spells

So I recently hit level 99 and saw knucklebones. I decide I will not use my melee and go out to see how much dmg it does. I head to freezing heights to grind. I hop into a pillar, and cast meteor spell at a group of mobs. Goodbye to 20 mana and 8k hp. I then got one shorted by a randy mob.

So what I'm suggesting is making lifesteal not activate on spells.
Some people would trade their melee for spells, and don't want to have mainly MELEE FEATURES (lifeSTEAL and manaSTEAL) ruin spells for them.

So, TL:DR:
Your probs not going to add this but I hate these things activating on spells. They are suppose to be melee focused ID's but effect spells which is just not right.

It does... I used meteor spell at a group of mobs using knucklebones and it took all of my HP and mana....

Explosion auto-procs life steal and mana steal. Knucklebones has Explosion. You hit a ton of mobs at once...the pieces slotting together?
