Website & Forums Add A Rule That Prohibits Clickbait Titles (100+ Supporters)

its not that hard, you just follow a forum and get an alert when someone posts a thread.

 

Yeah, but how do you know if it is clickbait if you don't read the thread, you don't.

 

You don't need to read the thread in order to know if its clickbait, you just need to read the title.
Also there aren't that many threads getting posted.

 

This is not at all true.
What if a title is Mythic Weapon Giveaway and there is no giveaway? There could very well be one, but you wouldn't know if there was one or not.

 

Would of been real ironic if the thread's title was clickbait

That just sounds like a cancerous feature waiting to happen.
Please just give up now, the suggestion doesn't make sense, just deal with it.

its a completely logical suggestion to prevent misunderstandings and baiting players to click on threads.

 

It's impossible to create an efficient system to check every thread and title without wasting staff members time. The amount of click-bait titles are low, and it isn't worth it for the staff to look through everything that might be click bait.

If you automate the process, good threads will be deleted just because the title.

Every single thread would have to be looked through by a human being for this idea to work, and that is simply not possible. I can make a thread called "Amazing Way To Level Up In Wynncraft" and it could have an awesome strategy with good grinding locations or it could be a complete troll and just have a picture of Bill Cosby wearing a fedora.

there aren't that many threads getting posted on the forums every day that it will trouble moderators.

 

Well, we also have a lot of users here in the forums. If they see and click baity titles breaking the rules, well, that's what the REPORT button is for, to alert the mods.

 

That's even worse. Then anyone can report any post for no reason. I would report this post then, does that sound efficient to you?

 

If it said supporters with no + It would be clickbait, but so far its not clickbait :(
