    It is simple:

    - When creating a new character you can select between normal and hardcore.

    - As a hardcore character you only have one life, if you die your character gets deleted including the items you wear and have in your bag. Items stored in the bank are safe.

    - Dying in PVP doesn't count as a dead, but dying in dungeons does.

    - No blessings or anything to avoid death

    - Separate rankings for hardcore characters

    ----------------------------------------

    Implementing hardcore characters will:

    - Make the game much more challanging

    - Improves the overal economy for everyone because of the new item and money sinks

    - Attract new hardcore players to the game looking for a challange (good for youtube and twitch etc)

    - Makes game feel more alive due to constant new players in low level training zones

Like, you have 1 soul point and when you die you lose everything? Or do you still have 10-15 soul points?

Couldn't you just do this yourself? Die once and you delete your character; I don't think there needs to be a system implemented to do what people have always done.

Yes that it true however if you do it yourself you can store your gear in the bank and use it on your next character. lets be honnest you are not going to delete your legendary or mythic gear. If this system is implemented you don't have any choise, wearing items means risking your gear and character.

Also having a ranking system in place for these people is nice and motivates others to also accept the challenge.

I think this system will shine end game as much more risk is involed in your daily activitys.

Something similar yes, however you lose your character when you die ( no respawn) and your items are deleted (not available for pickup by others).

I don't think that they would add something that we don't really need and can do on our own.

True, but couldn't the same be said for backing up Hardcore Minecraft worlds? I'm sure people who play the challenge would delete their characters with items on instead of saving them.

noo one would really do that... hardcore would make you be like "oh dang this IS hardcore," not "i guess i can just delete my character for fun"

yes, but you don't respawn. if you die your character is gone/ deleted forever including all items in your bag (you don't drop them on the ground).

Not a bad idea. it would add a mindset that "I have to have good gear, but if i have good gear, i might lose it"

I think this would be really beneficial. Would there be requirements to making a hardcore character? Will anything else be different? More damage taken, less damage dealt maybe? Idk just an idea. This would generally promote more caution. Lots of money sinks. People would buy more pots, prepare for things, thonk their actions through. +1 supporter

Oh also would there be any special reward for making it to a high level as a high level character? Sorry for the multiple replies, but my edit button just randomly stopped working.

    - There are no requirements to make a hardcore character. It will just be an option in the character creation menu where you can choose normal or hardcore character.

    - I don't think it is nessecary to change damage taken or dealth values. The game ballance is ok.

    - Yes the money sink is an intressting part of the system because end game but also leveling items will have a value now. More money will be spent on potion and gearing up, this will increasing trading between people. People that are not intressed in hardcore can also benefit from the higher prices and overal better economy.

    - The special reward for hardcore players will be the separate ranking system. When you are in first place you won't be there for ever, one death can kick you out of the rankings. An ingame namecollor or nametag for hardcore characters will also be a nice option.

I will add a sponsor count in the title later on when more people have voted.

Actually I did this challenge. I made it to lvl 50 and died so I deleted the whole character. And as for your suggestion, what about if the player died from a glitch and lost a mythic? What if you got a mythic and as you picked it up you died? You would probably quit the game because if the unfair circumstances and you would be the person making a thread demanding that you get your mythic item back

Dying due to lagg or a glitch is possible however it is very hard and time consuming to prove and confirm these situations. I'm sure that the forums will be full of people blaming the servers for their deaths, however when you make a hardcore character you take this risk. As in other games with similar systems, the game is not responsible for you death (including lagg or a glitch). When you die you are death and your characters including your items are gone.

Being a high level hardcore character is risky and one death can cause you to lose hours of gameplay, however this will make you more careful. People will die at all levels no matter what so when you play hardcore you will be restarting multiple times for sure especially when you are a new player to the game. Hardcore is not for everyone and sure some people won't like it however I think that there are also alot of people seeking a challenge. If you are not into it you can still make a normal character and play the game like how you did before, but with a stronger economy.

Guys Souls points are used for scrolls too -_-...

I think this can be a good idea, a new leaderboard like this will be a very prestigious thing to climb, it will give more challenge and even if people say "People already do that" we can't know if they died by a mistake and said "Oh it doesn't count !". It can be very fun and challenging, I agree this idea.

If you could think of more ideas instead of just the one death rule it would make it a little better, as people can do this without this system (as in delete their character after they die). I wouldn't do a hardcore class myself, but this is a decent start.
