Update The Game For Recent Minecraft Versions

Currently, the optimal version of Wynncraft is Minecraft 1.8.9.
Minecraft 1.11 is releasing soon.
That's 3 major updates that the game is missing out on.

I understand that some things just don't work that well in recent Minecraft versions, but I'm sure something can be done. The combat system will probably be difficult to implement with the changes in Minecraft 1.9, but I'm sure you can find a way.

I know you are busy making new content for the game, and I love that, but please make this your next priority.

I think the current priority if it hasn't been done is fixing/cleaning up the code and doing the next gavel update. Plus I think it would take a lot of time to go from 1.8.9 -> 1.11. It took a year I think to go from 1.7 to 1.8.

 

The main reason 1.8 took forever with lots of servers/mods was it changed quite a bit of coding for bug fixes so it won't take as long for future versions hopefully.

 

The Wynn CT has a lot on their plate right now, it will definatly happen eventually, but give them some time.

 

It also took two weeks to go from 1.8 to 1.9, and like a day to get 1.10 support after that was released

 

1.9 and 1.10 compatible the game itself is 1.8

 

1.10 and 1.11 are very small updates.

 

Um... no. Even if they were actually small updates, it would still take a long time to make the full switch, or even be compatible.

It just takes a long time to update; there's always issues to work out and changes to make. So be patient; it's probably already being worked on.


Point is, they can't just flick a switch and update the server.

 

Okay, that's fine, I just want this to be on their to-do list.
