This thread is somewhat old. Since it's back on the first page, I decided to edit it and make it look a bit nicer. Please tell me anything you think should be changed or added on to the idea. Thank you to everyone who has supported this thread, especially those who gave great suggestions!

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    The Shop

Hello! While I was grinding at the Frozen Heights, a thought came into my head. My inventory is almost always crowded with junk items like rock dust and unmeltable ice. Many other RPGs have a system where junk items can be used to create weapons or armor, and I thought that a system like this would be a great addition to Wynncraft. Below I have a screenshot of what this, the Blacksmith, could look like. (If there is any interest in a special menu similar to the powder master’s menu, feel free to share your opinion)
    New_Blacksmith_2.png
Instead of just three items like in the screenshot, there would be many items, which is why I added the next page button in the bottom right corner.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    The Shards

The items in the Blacksmith would be mainly rares or legendaries, depending on how many items are needed or the rarity of the items. Some may even be uniques, however these would be very cheap. All of the items would require at least one type of junk item, and a new item called a ‘shard.’ There will be 4 types of shards (Iron, Gold, Diamond, and Obsidian), each of them used for something different.
    New_Iron Shard.png New_Gold Shard.png New_Diamond Shard.png New_Obsidian Shard.png
Shards will be represented in-game as an iron ingot, a gold ingot, a diamond, and coal, respectively. Iron would be used for all-around weapons, mainly normal attack speed. Gold would be used for faster weapons, mainly fast and very fast. Diamond would be used for slower weapons such as slow and very slow, and obsidian would be used for the super slow weapons that deal immense amounts of damage. Shards can be dropped from any mob, at any given time. They are semi-rare as only a few are required to forge items.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    The Weapons

The amount of junk items will most likely vary from around a stack (64) to 16 stacks (1024). The reason these numbers seem so high is because junk items are fairly easy to get, so in order for these items to be difficult to get, a large amount of junk items should be required. Below is an example of a weapon that could be forged in the Blacksmith. (Please ignore any formatting errors I made)
    New_Icicle_2.png

Again, this item seems expensive, but unmeltable ice isn’t very hard to get as most mobs in the Frozen Heights drop it. I don’t expect this item to actually be added into the game as it is slightly unbalanced, but I decided it was good enough as an example. (I would like to add that I do not actually have a warrior/knight at level 96, I just put the checkmarks there because I thought it added a nice touch)

Below are any more items that I think would help to make this thread seem more clear as to what the Blacksmith allows you to make.
    New_Zombie Leg_2.png New_Item ID_2.png

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    The Map

The Blacksmith would be located in most major cities. The map below shows where they would be located:
    Wynncraft Map.jpg
    Detlas: Level 1-14
    Selchar: Level 15-24
    Almuj: Level 25-39
    Llevigar: Level 40-49
    Troms: Level 50-69
    Cinfras: Level 70-84
    Rodoroc: Level 85-94
    Ahmsord: Level 95-100

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    The Mini-Quests (Slightly Off-Topic)

There could be a division of quests called 'mini-quests' (or something similar, I'm not the best at making names), and these quests aren't like normal quests at all. They would be started from a blacksmith, and they would contribute nothing to the lore of the game, and wouldn't add on to the quest book/quest number. They would be simple, something along the lines of going and retrieving something related to the item you are questing to unlock. For example, say you were trying to unlock being able to forge the Icicle mentioned in the main thread. You would have to go kill a mini-boss that spawns near the Frozen Heights and bring the item it drops back to the Blacksmith. (Normally when suggesting something like this you would show stats for the mob, but since this is only an example, I'm not going to do that.) Anyway, once you bring the item back to the Blacksmith, he would tell you what items are required to make the Icicle, and you would unlock being able to see the Icicle in the Blacksmith menu.

Sorry that this idea is quite unrelated to the Blacksmith, but while replying to @Korosensei 's comment, the idea came into my mind.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you have any questions or suggestions, please ask me and I will be glad to answer. Thank you for taking the time to read this thread!

Now that I look at it, 32 stacks is a little much. I was hoping for the items to be at least a little difficult to get, however I think I will change it to 10 stacks as the weapon is not necessarily one of the most powerful weapons. Thank you for the support!

Pretty interesting and intriguing idea. I don't think it should make new tier items though, only existing tiers. New tiers just make the game another more step confusing and are completely unnecessary. However, I do like the general idea of this.

Thank you for the support! The main reason I added a new tier of items is because they can be in between tiers such as rare/legendary or legendary/mythic. It would make sense to have it only be existing tiers, however making an item that is, for example, the same level and has similar requirements as, say, a Pheonix Wing, but is a bit better and would be worth more is hard to call a legendary. But I see what you mean by complexity as Wynncraft is already very complex and a new item tier could cause confusion. I appreciate your suggestion, however I am not going to change the thread for this as the tier is not necessarily an important aspect of the suggestion. Again, thank you for the support!

Thank you for the support! I would make it untradable, but there isn't really anything special about these items. Junk items aren't untradable so it wouldn't make sense for the item achieved from junk items to be untradable. However, I do see the approach you are taking, and I would think that it makes sense for certain items received from the Blacksmith to be untradable, such as items that require very rare junk items, or even quest items if there was a certain quest item that would make sense to be turned into a weapon. Again, thank you for the support!

In order for the thread to make as much sense as possible, I have decided to continue to add items to it. This doesn't mean that I think all of these items should be added into Wynncraft, I am just adding more so the idea will be even more clear. Again, thank you to everyone who has taken time out of their day just to read my suggestion!

    Okay, another crafting system.

For a newbie (I'm guessing you're new, due to the low amount of likes and messages) this is REALLY good. But the thing is, there is just one problem I can think of, but be aware that there may be more from other people.

I'm not going to talk about your example weapons, just the main concept.
Would this be untradeable? I think it should. These items are kinda good, and it's easier to gain emeralds over junk items (Emeralds you can get from any mob with high stealing, junk items you have to go to a certain place). So what's the whole point? If you can just buy one, then making crafting ingredients only set to certain areas would be a waste of time and not many would go to them because you can buy one instead. So I think we should make it untradeable, feel free to point out any problems here.

Now, here I have some add ons to help IMPROVE your idea.

I think that whenever you craft the items, you gain a certain amount of xp. Why? Because it would make sense to craft these. You gain xp from forging it lorewise and you literally should gameplaywise so it's more... how do you say it? Making you want to forge weapons? This could help wynn where the mods can take their time on quests, while players craft these for xp. (xp amts vary from type of blacksmiths, lvl 1-25 would give about 200 xp, 26-39 would give 3000, so on( not sure of these are balanced or not, just go with the concept). Maybe even have it so only certain blacksmiths will give xp (Skilled Blacksmiths - these might be found in deserted areas or random structures).

Well, this may go over the top, but call them Forgesmiths. It sounds better than blacksmith in my opinion AND if we call them that, they'll be open to forging weapons AND armour.

That's all I have to say, and just note I did say yes to this, but I think that we can make this idea better, so I voted the one with tweaks.

TL;DR give ppl xp for forging at certain smiths, make weapons untradeable, add armour and change name.

Really cool idea, lower the price of 'The Identifier's Secret Item' tho, 2 stacks is a little over the top especially when cascade and manablast can be used instead on that level.

The bits are a good idea too, but try more creative names for them instead of simply iron, gold, diamond etc.

Perhaps, Rusted Bits, Reinforced Bits, etc.

I also agree with Zani, adding a new tier would just remove any chance of this being added so keep it legendary or rare.
