Guide How To Get A Positive Like / Message Ratio.

Hello everyone, Since I haven't posted something in a while I decided to come up with a little guide, From my experience around the forums I've learned a few tricks that could help you gain a positive message/like ratio and be more noticed around the community, So let's get started.

Tip #1
Don't shitpost.
This by far should be the most obvious one, Do not shitpost, There are 2 type of things that I consider a "Shit-post", The first one is the illegal shitpost, Which is when someone posts a thread that contains no useful information/has no actual point, For example a thread that says "I'm stuck in a block" or "I'm bored" etc, And the second type is the useless message, Which is legal to do, But just highers your message count, A useless message is, As you can understand from the name, Useless, For example just randomly commenting "Hello" in someone's profile, Is a useless message.

Tip #2
Try to look official.
Always remember, These are the forums, You can take your time when commenting/making a thread, There's no need of using "u" instead of "You" and you have all the time in the world to check your grammar, A thread should have 3 stages:
Introducing - Where you first explain what the entire thread is about.
Actual thread - This is where all the information goes.
&
Ending - Basically saying "Good bye" and making a summary should be good too.
Try to follow these 3 when making a thread, And if you pay attention you can see that almost all of my successful posts are built exactly like it.

Tip #3
Comment first.
Now this might be a hard & tricky one, Since the forums are built in a way that the comments never switch places, Commenting first could draw a lot of attention, Try and go through some recent popular posts, And you'll realize that almost all of the first comments would be much more noticed, Now how do you comment first? The easiest way is to basically just search for new posts that were probably not commented on yet in the "New posts" box above the shoutbox, Also don't comment in a hurry, Remember you can always just press the "Edit" button after posting your basic idea, And I personally edit each of my posts about 3 times after posting, Regarding community feedback.
<!> It's good to mention that if you don't have anything to comment, Just don't comment, Try to make sure that your comments either have useful information or just add some jokes if it's a funny topic, And GOD please do not leave messages like "FIRST HAHAHA" <!>

Tip #4
Thread design.
This is a really important one, Basically whatever you wrote is worth nothing, If you didn't design your thread properly, You can choose whatever design you'd like, But as a tip: Do NOT use too many colors, Or bold too many letters, I'd suggest you make your own "Design rules" that you'll follow in each of your posts, Here are my "Thread design rules":

Topics - Usually much bigger than the actual text and bold.
Actual text - Normally between the size of 4-5, Always on "Align Center".
Remarks - Bold red.

Tip #5
Delete "Unsuccessful" old posts.
Now this is something that I had to do a lot of, And I don't believe a lot of other people do too, You see, All of us make mistakes, And normally forget about them, So it's good once in a while to go through some of your old posts and just delete the ones that seem useless now (Click on your name in the top right and then "Your content"), All of us made some of them when we first entered the forums, It'll lower your message count and get rid of some posts that might not represent the current you.

Tip 0.1: Post in the profile place
Tip 0.2: Get off the trade market and sell your oak wood daggers in game
Tip 0.3: Get to that your work section and post any art you can (No builds or lores)

I always delete posts that don't have any likes.

 

Alternatively, you can be an admin! Whatever nonsense you say, you will have 50 likes guaranteed!

I don't do any of this stuff and I'm still successful which must mean that your thread is an unsuccessful old post.

 

every l/m ratio is positive, it impossible to get a l/m ratio in the negatives.

Except in VIP plaza, and when it's actually funny.

 

As to the "First!", "Second!", ect. posts, you might want to familiarize yourself with the Game and Forum Rules, specifically #3. Cheating the 10 Char limit/firsts. If your post has no value, it just might disappear.

 

I'm pretty sure deleting posts doesn't reduce your post count.
Try deleting a few and the reloading and looking at your messages.

 

Good puns give likes.

 

What is the like/message ratio even useful for...?

 

Or you can use the patented Tantibus method of getting likes:

1. Post random garbage in an attempt to be cool and popular.
2. Keep posting until eventually one of your garbage posts get a ton of likes.
3. Repeat until you get mod rank, which will make you automatically get likes due to subliminal messages hidden inside of the orange name color.

Results may vary.

 

Tip #6: Make guides on how to get high like message ratios.

 

Tip #7:
Don't own a shop in the trade market
