Random Encounters would introduce side quests along pathways, this would create new opportunities to earn items, emeralds, and experience. On pathways both large and small, NPCs would be placed to give out small quests and tell tales of the province. NPCs would be reset weekly so they could be done multiple times, with that said the mission rewards won’t be huge or game breaking.

Each scenario would have a dialogue, a problem, and a reward. Here are some examples:



Degir and the Siegfried Sword

Example: (Degir would be found in a hut in the Forest near Cinfras)

[2/6] Degir: Who do you think you are? Siegfried?

Ancob and the Zombie Horde

This is pretty good, Mini quests that you can do any time that gives you some random items,

I also thought of a few more ideas:

Spoiler: Selchar Diving encounter

Example: Shaig is in an house in Selchar
[1/5] Shaig: Hey did you know you can dive in a nearby reef and get treasures.
[2/5] Shaig: Now I don't have any diving gear, so I can't get anything.
[3/5] Shaig: I always wanted a Glowing Pearl for me wife
[4/5] Shaig: Do you think you can get it for me?
[5/5] Shaig: Will you help me? Yes or No
After finshing:
[1/1] Shaig: Thank you so much! My wife will love a glowing ring!
Reward: 1 EB

Example: Wybel Npc in the land of Wybels
[1/9] ???: Hey you, yes I am talking to you! No look down here!
[2/9] Shyel: Finally, you see me! Yes I am a talking Wybel.
[3/9] Shyel: I became this way by 4 twisted Scientist working in gavel.
[4/9] Shyel: I am not sure what they wanted to do, but they injected me with Cosmic Magic.
[5/9] Shyel: Anyway that's not why I called you.
[6/9] Shyel: One of my brothers told me that a Villager sold a Wybel Paw of a powerful Wybel clan leader.
[7/9] Shyel: We tracked it down to the black market in Amuji
[8/9] Shyel: But as being Wybels, we can't do anything.
[9/9] Shyel: Will you give us back the claw of our leader? Yes or No.
After completion:
[1/4] Shyel: Yes! you have the paw.
[2/4] Shyel: I will get this to our people as soon as possible.
[3/4] Shyel: You now have earned the respect of every Wybel.
[3/4] Shyel: While you are at it please say hi to my brother Nibbles.
Rewards: Wybel's Love (item?) & 100xp * lvl & 10 EB

Check my work it might be a little flawed.

 

So... like a fetch quest every week that gives some rewards?
Perhaps make it one random NPC that will spawn everyday in a different location

Each has a different scenario and needs different items.
The rewards are based on the area where the NPC is located
Doesn't give equipment, since that would unfair to people who didn't do the quest/did not join.

However, they could be able to give stuff like potions and other unique items.
Perhaps there could be a special quest, where the reward was an enchanted potion bottle.

For certain side quests, the rewards would require you to do an objective, but also to bring this special bottle.
He would then reward you with a special potion.
You can drink the potion (one time use) for different effects.

Some effects could be, remove all negative effects, gain insane health or mana regen, mystery potion (does something random), elemental potion (chooses between the 5 stat potions) and other things.

Drinking this potion would put the bottle back into your inventory (or drop it on the ground if it is full)
The bottle would be have "quest item" tag

And they only need a certain amount of NPCs, and they can recycle the NPCs if they need to (If they want a month, then they only need max 31 NPCs)

The EXP and emerald rewards are relatively small, but would be more accurate than missions, since it is based on the area where the quest spawns, and not the last mob you hit.

However this would take a really long time to code.
This would probably be a completely seperate update, and highly buggy

[2/8] Chris: I got everything you need to survive here, amour, swords, and lovely cats.
[3/8] Chris: Water? No, that is in short supply...
[4/8] Chris: But you know what I don't have?
[5/8] Chris: Snow Hearts. See they come form strange snow monsters in Neserk's forest.
[6/8] Chris: They happen to make for get cooling systems for the upper class of Aumji
[7/8] Chris: If you get me some, I will pay handsomely for it. get about 64 hearts...
[8/8] Chris: Can you get me some? Yes or No?
After completion:
[1/6] Chris: Hey you are back!
[2/6] Chris: How is it there by Neserk?
[3/6] Chris: I been meaning to start a business there, but the bank won't approve of my loan.
[4/6] Chris: Something about some incident that occur there.
[5/6] Chris: Then they mumble something about their base...
[6/6] Chris: Oh well, hand over the hearts.
REWARDS: 10 EB

[5/14] Potatobeard: Not really, there is an arch in front of it... OK if you go west from the island there will be an arch with a shadowy area
[6/14] Petebeard: They are the most annoying fish in the sea.
[7/14] Potatobeard: THEY ATE ME HAND! NOW IT JUST SOME CLAW
[8/14] Petebeard: that was because of a potato shark.
[9/14] Potatobeard: O. So why do we want these piranhas? Did they eat me ship?
[10/14] Petebeard: No, dad, we want to...
[11/14] Potatobeard: THEY ATE ME SHIP!!
[12/14] Petebeard: Ok they are the most delicious fish in the Wynnian sea.

[14/14] Petebeard: This could take a while, just get like 5 piranhas. He should be finished with his story by then.
You walk away for the pirate family, at the same time you hear Pirate Potatobeard say something about a Mother piranha attack his warship.
After completion:
[1/] Potatobeard: SO THERE I WAS, MY BODY, DERANGED AND
[2/] Petebeard: HEY YOU ARE BACK!
Petebeard centers the attention on you, interrupting Potatobeard's fabricating story about is ship in the belly of a mother piranha.
[3/9] Petebeard thanks for your help.
[4/9] Potatobeard: ah, there be the devils...
[5/9] Petebeard: You know I heard that a hidden mechanical Island uses these fish as food.
[6/9] Potatobeard: HAHA, Pete my boy, you should stop listening to those sea stories. There is no such thing as an mechanical Island.
[7/9] ???: Well, for now....
[8/9] Potatobeard: AHH, that sounded like a Ninja I fought off in the canyons of Gavel!

D: Report that you have been mugged, stabbed, shot, or lost

E: ignore all of the options and continue playing Pokemon go

 

That's not quite the feedback I wanted...

 

Happy with the amount of supporters we've gotten. Thank you to everyone who's given us feedback so far.

 

Maybe instead of the NPC saying "Will you help me Yes or No?" It could be like what follows:

Will you help this {speicies} in need? Walk away to decline, talk again to accept.

This way, it sounds more realistic opposed to the inital part of the NPC saying at the end.

Interesting way to incorperate Side-quests to wynncraft, i definitely support.

 

Why would the slave have more money... not to be racist but slaves were treated horribly and were not paid

 

Unail they get caught and hung for doing any of the above.

 

If they battle someone they will most likely be injured if they are injured they can't work if they can't work they get killed.

 

It's a good idea but it needs a LOT of improvement.
