Yo, I started making this like, a while ago, and I finished it like, before the update.

Spoiler: A Homicidal Heist

[3/5] Detective Green: Well, we need a great detective like you right now.
[4/5] Detective Green: You see, there’s been a murder at this mansion, and we need your help to bring the perp to JUSTICE!
[5/5] Detective Green: Go ahead and take a look around the crime scene, just don’t mess with anything.

Quest book updated: Find the crime scene and look around.
Walk around the room of the crime on the top floor of the mansion until you find a clue.There are a total of 4 clues:

A bloodstain (redstone.)
Upon finding this clue, the chat will say:
Looks like this is probably where the victim died.

A journal (enchant table.)
Upon finding this clue, the chat will say:
The journal says: Finally, I will be able to take revenge! The following page was torn out.
You receive the Victim’s Journal (Quest item)

A broken closet (a door with broken looking wood around it.)
Upon finding this clue, the chat will say:
A struggle seems to have taken place here, maybe there are finger prints?

An iron sword on the ground (item mob.)
Upon finding this clue, the chat will say:
One can only assume that this is the murder weapon.
You receive the Murder Weapon (Quest Item)

Quest book updated: Return the items to Detective Green.
[1/5] Detective Green: Didja find anything in there?
You show Detective Green the two pieces of evidence you found.
[2/5] Detective Green: I told you not to take anything!
[3/5] Detective Green: Oh well, still some pretty nice work you did there, I’ll take that sword and have it blood tested, along with the splatters inside.
[4/5] Detective Green: In the meantime, you should take a peek around the Detective’s Bureau in __.
[5/5] Detective Green: After all, we may need some extra hands around, criminals are popping up more and more recently.

Head to the Detective’s Bureau in Ahmsord.

As you enter the building, you overhear a conversation in the interrogations room beside you.
[1/6] ???: GIVE ME ONE REASON NOT TO THROW YOU IN PRISON RIGHT NOW!
[2/6] ???: Well, this is the interrogations room, and prison is not.
[3/6] ???: You stop it with your smart mouth, Aaron, or it’ll get you in more trouble.
[4/6] Aaron: Doesn’t really matter, you’re gonna kill me anyway…
[5/6]Aaron: I also believe you have a visitor outside.
[6/6]???: Oh, you out there! Come in, come in!

Walk around the corner into the interrogations room.

[1/8] Dygotier: I am Drew Dygotier, the head detective here at the bureau.
[2/8] Dygotier: What brings you here today?
[3/8] Dygotier: Hmm… Oh! Detective Green told me you were coming!
[4/8] Dygotier: You helped us outside of Cinfras, thanks, adventurer.
[5/8] Dygotier: Anyways, this is the Detective’s Bureau.
[6/8] Dygotier: We gather intel, interrogate criminals, and eat donuts here.
[7/8] Dygotier: This is Aaron Temple, the suspect in the murder of Jonathan Jade.
[8/8] Dygotier: You know, the case Detective Green is in charge of.

You are teleported into Dygotier’s office.

[1/3] Dygotier: Green sent in some evidence to be analyzed at the lab.
[2/3] Dygotier: You collected it, correct? So you should be the first detective to see the results.
[3/3] Dygotier: Here you go.

Quest book updated: Talk to Drew Dygotier after reading the Analyses.

You received Murder Weapon Analysis (Quest Item) (Paper)
The blade of the sword has blood of Jonathan Jade, the hilt has unidentified fingerprints. Victim was stabbed in through the heart.

You received blood splatter Analysis (Quest Item) (Paper)
The blood splatters in Mr. Jade’s room belongs to an unidentified source and Jonathan Jade.

[1/4] Dygotier: Well, it appears Aaron may not have been the culprit.
[2/4] Dygotier: Instead, it was probably this unidentified source.
[3/4] Dygotier: Well, I’ll try to figure out who this unidentified person is.
[4/4] Dygotier: In the meanwhile, you should go interrogate Aaron.

[3/3] Aaron: I’ll tell you what I saw, if you gimme a chance.

See, you thought I would make it so you would get more emeralds if you chose the bad ending, BUT NO. For the “good” ending, you need to fight a boss, so, duh, you get more.

There's cops in wynn?? since when??? Seems a bit out of place in a fantastical mmorpg, but then again I could never write something so creative.

Also, that reminds me, I should make it so Murder Mystery is a pre-requisite, since it is referenced multiple times.

 

Woah I think im lvl 74 now, but I have like 12 quests to complete. This is one of them, had no idea it existed, thanks!!

Yeah, now that I think about it it would be pretty cool. This quest would kind of be like completing the whole "detective" chain of quests, taking you to the headquarters and doing stuff there. Nice suggestion!!
