World A Change For Cataclysm

Uhhh I have a max hp greaves and you don't need to be super fast. Either way, Scorpio boosts walkspeed as well. And if I even get a cataclysm I would use this and I doubt anyone would survive a spin attack from me. I would take a glass cannon over the thing that you made which is almost the exact same as a lvl 74 legendary.

 

What thing that I made? And one of the main points of this thread is to make it so you dont have to be forced to be a glass cannon, because some people who waited for a thunder mythic dagger to come out didn't want to be forced to be a glass cannon. And yes, scorpio boosts walk speed, but the greaves of the veneer lower it. Cataclysm makes it so you cannot use the types of builds that some people want, a high damaging speed build or a high damaging build with good defence.

 

I made a high damage build with good defence. If you have a good Scorpio you get positive walk speed and with boosts from items you have exactly enough or more. At lvl 100 you only need 7 skill points more to use greaves and cataclysm and you don't realize that strength and dexterity in combination is a very deadly thing already. Even with ok hp on cataclysm you still end up with about 8.5k and when you add the defense boost you only take 50% damage so it has decent survivability, good hp regen, and high damage so I don't see a problem with my build at all really

 

The walk speed is a problem, and do you know why strength and dexterity normally don't mix well together? it is because when the dexterity activates, then it will not stack, and what "item" did I make which is similar to a level 74 legendary? The total walk speed is -15%, you can use speed trinkets but it will lower your hp further.

The lvl 74 legendary is corrupted witherhead bow and it has 20% spell damage, 10 dexterity boost, and air damage boost too. Super fast atk speed, max of 270 thunder damage. ONLY 80 LESS THUNDER DAMAGE THAN THE LVL 90+ MYTHIC YOU CHANGED CATACLYSN TO. sparkling visor also gives some good walkspeed too I believe and it balances out. If you have good negative walkspeed on hetusol and greaves of the veneer you do have positive walkspeed. As I said before earth and thunder is a good combination. You either do double damage or you do higher damage than usual. This means there is no downside to this build AT ALL. Trust me I've done all of it on a google doc and it works out very well in the end

The thing is that, corrupted witherhead bow is OP, and archer's strongest attack, bomb deals 250% damage, and multihit deals way more, 350%. Corrupted witherhead bow also has -15% walk and 2 slots.

 

The minus hp is worth THAT much damage.

 

My idea is only -1500, and I think it is worth that much, -1500hp makes your build much more customizable than this item makes your build right now.

Ok first of all, the cataclysm you made is underpowered for its level by far. Second I am not going to argue anymore so we don't start a flame war. Third, cataclysm is good as it is of it has good IDs especially
Finally, it is meant to be a super paper cannon. Not a flexible item

cataclysm needs to stay how it is in ids IMO but it should lose damage a bit and be like that
17-170 neutral damage
7-700 thunder damage
right now the lowest hit cata can get is still gonna do like 6k on a spin which is wayyy to much for such a dagger , it needs to atleast have a chance of getting bad damage

Sorry but dude... thats a really low buff.. I agree with what kwaby said, 17-170 neutral and 7-700 thunder, that will make it able to get low dmg so it won't be crazily overpowered..

Just wear a decent statue with some walk speed gear and you're fine. The dagger itself gives 16%, all you need is other descent walk speed gear and you will be ~ -20% walk. I'll support you're changes as soon as they switch Az and Stratiformis level mins and make Az a thunder mythic "intended for endgame".
