Change Factory Helmet To Factory Pass

The factory helmet uses a bank spot for no real reason. It should just be a "factory pass" which is an iron ingot or paper that you give to an NPC who stands at the enterance to the house the factory is hidden in. He would tell you you can't go in until you give him the pass and if you try to enter the house it would teleport you back.

You might think that this breaks immersion because the factory is supposed to be a secret. But doesn't an NPC giving you a helmet and telling you there's a factory like it's public knowledge have the same effect?

Talking to NPC without pass / trying to enter without giving a pass
[1/1] Guard: You cannot enter this building without a [factory pass]

If you have pass
[1/2] Guard: You want to enter? Let me see your [factory pass].
[2/2] Guard: Okay, you're cleared. You won't need the pass again, I'll throw it out for you.

If this creates a problem with the quest breaking for people who have the helmet but haven't completed part II, that could be fixed by adding a merchant at the house who buys a factory helmet and gives the pass.

[2/2] Guard: Okay, you're cleared. You won't need the pass again, Your already in the system now, I'll take your pass

 

I was thinking it should be something like that where they say they'll remember you but I wasn't sure how to word it.

I think the reason it's a helmet is because you need a hard hat (or something like that lol) - it's a work zone, after all.

 

Regions can only testfor the players hat, not other items. Thats why we have so many quest helmets :)

I know regions can only test for helmets, but can't you make it so that the player can't enter without advancing the quest stage by giving him the pass? Like with the crystal shards in Wynnexcavation?

 

I mean, I guess that could work yeah.
