Hey and welcome to this suggestion. Here I wanna present my idea of an improved bank storage system. After using the search I only found ideas that don't fit the system that I have in my mind. So let's get started:

    Class Banks:
Like the title "Class Banks" already tells, I want to add banks that are separated to each class of a player. This class is empty and have the starter space of the current bank. You can upgrade it like normal and items in it will be saved across servers. The bank's contents will be deleted after the player deletes the specific class (Maybe add a notice to the "Delete Class" dialogue). The location of the class bank is where the normal bank is at the moment.

But what if you want to transfer items to another class, or just need a general room for items? That's where the master bank comes in...

    Master Banks:
Master Banks are like class banks, with the difference that they are the same, for every class you open it with. They can't get cleared at all and are expandable like the class banks (higher prices and limited to three rows). They are only located in cities with a liquefied merchant and should look like something special.

Yeah they should stand out ;D

So, this is my idea, but now I want to know what you (and the team) thinks of this improvement. At the end I want to clear some points:

    • Does this solve the problem with the quest items overload?
      • Yeah it totally does, you can simply put quest items in your class bank.
    • But players will have way too much inventory space with this!
      • I don't really know how much space the players should have, but the class banks could be limited, but this would make problems with the next point, which is...
    • How do you wanne migrate this?
      • Yeah this is interesting. I don't know how your server software works, but a logical attempt would be to just put the player's current bank items into the class bank of the class with which he logs in first.
      • Another idea would be to increase the master bank to an permanent size of 6 rows and just let it use the old bank items on the first use.
    Thanks for reading, Overload.

I feel like this could get very complicated very quickly. What if you put a quest item you need for another class in the class bank, then delete the character? The quest item disappears? Transfers to the Master Bank? What if the master bank is full? Then where does the quest item go?

Not to mention it's not really needed, and doesn't provide any help from a gameplay standpoint except a little extra storage.

You could block putting quest items in the master bank.

That could be a solution, but like I said, I don't really see this as being needed.

What would be the advantages of this over the current system?

The current system spams your bank with quest items (if you're are playing with multiply classes). Also with the new powder system you really need more bank space, in my opinion.

I feel like a large part of the fun is inventory management. Using other classes for storage and trying to figure out how to organize everything. I understand the issue with the quest items, but what's the advantage of this over just a simple quest item bank?
