What To Put In And Not To Put In Your Suggestion Thread

Do's
1) If you have a class thread. Put the class stats ex: Attack: |||||

2) If you have a class thread put in the spells upgrades.

3) If you have a quest thread put in color, names, levels, stats (of bosses), and rewards.

4) Check if your suggestion is eula friendly. Because it will not be added if it's not eula friendly

5) If you are making a class thread make sure that is medieval themed. Don't put "Gunner" although there is magic so it can be something like "Bard"

6) If you are making a class. Give it a re-skin ex. Hunter/Archer

1) Do not put in "reduce lag" or "make more quests pls" if you do, put a
solution

2) Do not give vague idea's of something ex: "Put a quest with a guy. then you have to go to a area"

3) Do not make fetch quests ex: Maltic's well, The ultimate weapon, etc.

4) Do not ask for mage buffs.

5) Do not make a housing thread (Just don't... Ever it's a terrible thing)

6) Do not ask for archer buffs

7) Do not make a mythic suggestion. Mostly likely not gonna happen. If you wanna make a item make it balanced

8) Don't make a nerf assassin thread

9) Do not make a province thread, mostly because there are two more provinces coming (dern and fruma)

10) Don't ever, EVER make a elytra thread

That is true. Some quest suggestions are good, But most class suggestions are horrible

Never ask for buffs in general.

And only suggest items if you KNOW they are balanced, well-made, and up to GM standards.

 

Isn't this the place for those kinds of suggestions though? I don't want to sound presumptuous, but I assumed this forum was intended to collect all suggestions, regarless of their quality, so that they wouldn't clutter the other forums.

Moreover, and not to be condescending, but this is "General Suggestions" forum, not the "Only GM quality suggestions" forum. People have a right to voice their opinions as much as you have a right to suggest what should be put in this forum. I'd like to also add you have a right to voice how bad their suggestion is in their particular thread, which then tells that person they have made a poor suggestion and should change it to make it better.

I think this should be more of a "Cautionary" thread, to warn people against make poorly thought-out suggestions regardless of content. If people do make a poorly-formed suggestion, then others can kindly tell them why it's not good, and offer an example suggestion that has good format and structure as an example.

To be honest, I thought this thread wasn't that well thought-out. You tell people what generally-agreed poor suggestions are, but you never really explain why they are poor suggestions. If people had some form of explanation, then they might be more inclined to listen, or perhaps suggest a change that is better but about the same topic.

 

This is like saying Housing threads are fine. People should take from GM quality quests like Memory Paranoia.

1) Some suggestions are just "I had an idea to make a quest. It should have a guy with a sword then has to go kill a beast"
I've seen this before about... 7 times. I'm just trying to increase the quality of the threads here

2) I do agree with the explaination part. Some parts are just plain, if you use logic you won't make some of these threads

3) Yes, all threads should be accepted. But if the thread has a amazing class idea but they don't put detail, the thread will not be accepted because it had no detail. And if it doesn't get good feed back they might get discouraged and not continue on with the idea. All I'm trying to do is increase the quality of threads

4) I do not believe this should be a "cautionary thread" because this should be the standard (or at least I think it should be)

It's sarcasm. You hardly see buff mage threads while there are a ton of buff assassin threads, even though it's balanced pretty well.

Compared to the others it's garbage

 

I prefer mage and assassin because they can both cheese the game, warrior and archer make it harder to cheese quests and bosses

 

Meh, I dunno. Mage can easily cheese cuz of teleport. But assassin?
