    Actually, looking into it more, it doesn't seem that bad, the chance for ID'ed items is really low at 3% and I bet that at even 1% it'll still be a very low chance, I think it's promoting the player to not use /kill as free transportation, besides, at 15 soul points, you still have to die 5 times to get to 5 soul points. (15 -> 13 -> 11 -> 9 -> 7 -> 5)

    Yep. I hated how some of you guys used /kill for quick travel, and just how in general weren't even phased when you died. With this, you might have a chance to lose something good, so it might not be worth it to /kill around for fun. It's also much less punishing if you ever reach 0 SP.

    So you're gonna punish us for using scrolls even when we have 5 soul points, which is an ample amount for using tp scrolls?

    This system still feels like a needlessly aggressive revamp to an already foreboding system. And since when is blowing 2 soul points free transportation? Sometimes people are forced to use it in case they get stuck from glitches and the like. This system coupled with teleportation scrolls and the new risk-oriented powder buff mechanics feels like a push to towards loss of items to stunt progress over risky playing that will, if you're careful at least force you to sit out for a few hours or so. Even if the chances are low, it just feels like a sinister addition to have in the first place.
