Why Mage's Heal Needs A Change

    Are you suggesting that my signature in the image, has inferred bias against changes toward alterations/rework of heal? Is that it? I main mage, yes. I have played the other classes as well. I have an idea of what currently each class can or cannot do.

    Have considered how this change would affect mage? There is a point where damage > regen rate. We won't even rely on heal at boss fights and generally difficult areas with mobs doing damage that exceeds our regen rate. You still have to think about what if someone heals twice? That hasn't been fully thought of yet.

    Retreating is a good option but it gives the mobs an opening to: Heal, Charge, Naturally Regen, Multi-hit. While you could say, "Just buy health pots like the rest of us." But doesn't that defeat the purpose of having a heal spell at all?!

    So, @Endertricity your nerf/buff to heal is... strange.
    Here's how I interpret it:
    So in the first heal, you do... say 50% heal, while the pulse does more than it used to (say 3 "hearts" [the wiki isn't the best])

    I don't really have more to say. I'll come back when I have more to say.

    eh... not rly you can just tp through them, and natural regen/charge/multihit wont rly do anything since you're tping away to heal back all of your health.

    There's still an opening for them to take advantage to naturally regen. Trust me, I don't want to spend an eternity doing the same back and forth on a boss. -> meteor *gets hit several times* teleport heal, wait *boss regens or charges at you, either you dying or you dodging, if you have any mana left* Now you're outta mana, what'cha gonna do? melee it death? Melee doesn't do enough to overcome the natural bosses regen. If he regens instead that's progress reset.

    Well, that's not rly what a mage does. They pretty much just can spam ice snake and meteor, and tp and heal if needed. And most mage builds have tons of mana regen so it's not a problem.

    Boss natural regen isn't as fast as you're saying, it's somewhere around once per 15 seconds. Mage has a good amount of range and can easily kite bosses and players while healing to full health whenever they take damage.

    You're wrong. The problem is that the warrior and the archer would most likely die if the regen was too instant. Some bosses are strong like that, and instant health is necessary. In terms of duels which aren't really a major part of wynncraft, heal is overpowered, but duels are just a small feature for fun so it doesn't matter. A major feature of the game shouldn't be changed just to benefit duels.

    It's not to benefit duels, it's a balancing change. Imagine Medic in TF2, or Mercy from Overwatch being able to bring someone back to full health instantly instead of over some time. Not a good gameplay aspect, is it?

    How about the heal doesn't stack, instead, it just re-applies the heal.

    Good idea. So you can't spam it, just extend the time.

    Example (typing this on my phone so it's gonna be fucked up)

    Let's say the regeneration in my idea took 4 seconds. Your heal would normally do, say, 4000 health. Upon spell cast, you immediately get 1000 based off the "1/4 rule" from @(Meric)'s suggestion. 2 seconds later, you cast the spell again. By then, your first heal would have regened you by another 2000 health. Upon the second cast, you get the base 1000 again, and after 4 seconds, another 4000. From casting heal twice in succession ("spamming"), you have recovered a total of 8000 health over 6 seconds instead of the possible 10000 over 8 seconds. Good idea! I'll add it to the thread.

    I agree Heal is a bit OP right now. We won't touch it for this update, but eventually we are gonna change it a bit. It won't be a simple nerf though, or that'll make it useless.

    By simple, I assume you mean easy to do, and not small, right?
    Or is it just a typo and simple means small.

    By simple nerf I mean simply reducing the amount of healing.
