World Can An Element Expert Help Me Figure This Out?

So I have two wands, and I'm trying to figure out which wand to use. a level 51 "zombified branch" or a level 53 "sunsetter"... The zombified branch does 88-104 neutral damage while the sunsetter only does 26-34 neutral damage, while its water damage does 24-29..

What I cant figure out is why the zombified branch does so much more damage than a wand that is a higher level than it... even The relic wand, which is supposed to be really good, does 44-49 damage..

I still dont understand elements, and its been 9 months since gavel has been released

 

A. Why is this in General Suggestions
B. The Zombified wand does more damage because it attacks slower, it does 0.7 attacks per second, while sunsetter does 2 attacjs per second

 

Plus, if you're fighting an enemy that's weak to water, sunsetter will do almost the same damage as zombified branch with more than double the attack speed.

 

Also, relic wand, if I am not wrong has all the elements, so it is good for any mob that is weak to one of the elements, don't look only on the neutral damage but on the other stats as well

 

But the relic wand is lv 60 + he has to find it.

Use both. It's not uncommon for people to use 2 (or more) weapons.
In fact, I'd say most people use 2 - one for an "element specific" sorta thing (like for builds) and a neutral weapon.
However if you're grinding in herb cave, the mobs there have so many different element weaknesses/strengths you should just use your neutral wand.
Also, since you're a mage, I would prioritize spells. Meaning that the water wand might be better because of +int or mana steal/regen. Or spell dmg.
Personally I would use Sunsetter more often, considering it has xp bonus (I prefer mana regen to mana steal, idk why). Although poison is nice.
