In the woods quest idea
This is my take on the quest. I know it doesn't really fit with your idea, I just wanted to see want you though of it.

Talk to Quantum Engineer in Pre-Light Forest.

If you are underleveled:
Quantum Engineer:Come back when you are level 50. I will pay you well.
Talking at level 50 and beyond:
Quantum Engineer:Ah, a soldier of Wynn. I heard you folk are always searching for work.
Quantum Engineer:I have the perfect Quest for you.
Quantum Engineer:I am working on a small device that can store items into an personal pocket dimension at a moment's notice.
Quantum Engineer:Unfortunately with the power limitations right now, I can only create a pocket dimension small enough to hold a single gran of salt.
Quantum Engineer:However there has been rumored to be a source of power in pre-light forest so powerful that the earth around it has turned energized.
Quantum Engineer:It may take months or years to find it, but I believe it exists.
Quantum Engineer:Oh, take this.
Quantum Engineer:This energy sensor will detect the pressence of the crystal. If it begins to glow, that means the crystal is near.

Quantum Engineer:Talk to me when you have found it.
When you go out of the engineers house:
The sensor turns yellow. Check around the engineers house.
You will find some glass blocks in the engineers overgrown backyard. They lead to a cave in his backyard which in turn leads to an underground forest that is completely transparent and bright.
Your sensor turns red. The energy must be close.

When you get to the end of the forest, a parkour course similar to the one in purple in blue needs to be completed in order to go through a coal block teleport thing that sends you a a large quartz and glass room with several mobs and untradeable items on the ground called "energetic shards" constantly spawning.

Quantum Engineer:Storage container, pocket dimension access portal, mini chest...
Quantum Engineer:Yes! Backpack. Rolls right off the tongue.
Quantum Engineer:You can access it just by clicking on it.
Quantum Engineer:You can also upgrade it, but it gets bulkier each time.
Quantum Engineer:Oh, and you can have these emeralds for all the trouble you went through.

I think the quest needs some more depth, but if you would rework it, add more ncps and expand the serach progress, maybe even add somesort of puzzle, I would add it (and give you the credit ofcourse). Thanks for your input :D
