    Reason for this thread
If you all recall Flubbys rant with the civil conversation, it got deleted because it wasn't "constructive" and was very "toxic", which was not fine because that's abuse of power, but that's not the reason for this thread(Except it is part of the reason). The reason why I made this thread is because Grian brought this up along with the reason why he removed the thread, "The mods jobs are to regulate the community. The community reject it". It isn't necessarily the moderators jobs to regulate the community, at least it's what I see happening the majority of the time when I visit. Here are some suggestions that can help regulate the forums and reduce toxicity, saltiness, and flammability. Grian also mentioned that the thread didn't suggest things to help fix the problems that we have.
Tl;Dr, Grians reasons why Flubbys thread was deleted is what inspired me to create this thread.

Community Managers (Would like to thank @Glador for this)
CMs or Community Managers are a new type of staff member that have the sole purpose of connecting with the community and creating a line of communication between staff and the community, right now, there's no stable line of communication; In a sense, there's a wall with higher ground on the staffs side, the staff are able to give the community their ideas but the community isn't able to give back their thoughts on the staffs ideas. A CM will break the wall here and allow for fluid and a stable exchange between thoughts, ideas, and opinions.

There can be more than one CM and each can be assigned to jobs, to help the community, to share ideas prior to solidifying them to get the communities opinion on a certain addition to Wynn, or to regulate the amount of toxicity, saltiness or heat to the salad, or server. Come on, we're all on this forum, may as well make the time we spent here worth it by helping each other get out of the hole we got ourselves into.

The CM can be chosen by how well known they are, or should be chosen by a balance of how well known and trustworthy they are to the community, a person with only popularity will probably drag the community even further down than it already is.
Tl;Dr, An introduction of a new "staff" member called a CM used to regulate the community and to help staff and the community understand each other, there may be more than one CM with specific jobs.

    Output of work
Grian has many jobs right now, Youtube, Wynn, and the community it holds. Since Youtube is Grians highest priority, he has to spend less time with the community, but he should still spend some time on connecting with the community and befriending us, it's not to say he should quit Youtube, just reduce the time spent on creating content for the server and more time spent to talking with us, the community that is in dire need of official actions to fix it. You may think that spending less time on the server contradicts working with the community, but that's not true. The community and the server are two things now, the server's...well, the server and the community can play on it and the content team(includes Salted, Jumla, and Grian) can work on it, two different things and the community should have some priority.
Tl;Dr, Grian should spend some more time on the community when he can.

    Change of attitude
This is a suggestion to everyone, should change our perspective and attitude to ourselves or to the community, if we continue to see ourselves in a biased point of view that we're toxic, well that's all we will be, we need to change how we see ourselves to a better, less toxic, less salty, and less flamewar-e community. This doesn't mean we have to drop memes, we just need to help each other out of this mess that we all jumped into.
Tl;Dr, We, as a community, must work together and not see ourselves as a barrel of toxic waste, a sea of salt, or a battle of fire. No-one can do this alone.

    More frequent community events
An increase to events that connect mods with the community will benefit with the community earning more interest into the server rather than just the forums. Right now, the most common community events are hide and seek events. They make the community get onto the server and explore the world in hopes of finding a moderator for a reward. These events don't necessarily be required to be hosted every week but they should happen more than once every few months, like once every month or every 3 weeks.

Community events are not the same as quests like the new planned "???" quest, quests in Wynn usually give a reward that helps the player grow, the community events should not be like this, the rewards should not benefit the player and can not be traded from player to player.

Tl;Dr, Current events that connect the staff with the community should be increased. Community events =/= Permanent quests that temporarily help the community work together.

These are just a few ideas/suggestions to change the community since Grian complained that there were a lack of ideas on how to fix this community in Flubbys thread. As a community, we should all create smart suggestions on how to change the server and ourselves, input ideas if you want.

    Disclaimers:

Please just keep this civil, I don't need people posting obvious flamewar bait. If you see something that's obvious flamewar bait, ignore it.
Keep the amount of useless posts down(Examples: "+1 support", "Give x person CM", "I'm applying for CM").

Key difference is that this isn't really a rant, but a suggestion so that's good.

Well the CM isn't exactly something you're able to apply for, you'd need a positive background and be well-known to the community, this is so you can help cause positive change.

Maybe have the community decide if you can become a CM? People can apply and people can decide if they want them to be a CM.

You don't see much of "Please can I be mod? I've been mod on other servers" threads

Eh, it's up the actual staff to choose whether to add this and how they want it to work. It also depends on how trustworthy the community is to the staff. Right now, we probably wouldn't be trusted to change a light-bulb, maybe in the future when we're not as toxic as we are now, we can be trusted with choosing specific people to become a Community Manager.

I'd say that if we want to figure this out, we need to define: What is considered being toxic?
Not that we don't know, but we need to set a standard for what we want to avoid. For example, my idea of being toxic includes starting flame wars, and...
(I can't describe this, so Ill make an example:)
New Guy: Help Pls Im grinding at levl 46!
Toxic: Get rekt scrub just wait till you get to the 90s
Non-Toxic: Here are some good grinding spots. Also, be wary that there is a lot more grinding in the higher levels.

To me, it's to be a person who is self-centered, likes to be correct most or all of the time, has no respect for others opinions, and is hateful. But we all have our versions of toxicity, mine may not be the same as yours, and that's fine. You're right, we shouldn't need a standard, but we should know the obvious signs that someone is toxic, which is still a hard thing to do.

    i like this idea
i feel like the community would become even greater than ever if we could just agree to not be dicks to each other and get along
and in order to get there, these solutions should help remove the toxicity that is bringing down this place

    tl;dr make wymmunity greater again

CM sounds like a fairly nice idea
although i can somewhat see users who don't have a fuckton posts / likes getting the instant "hell no", because sometimes people do that? i'll probably get a reply saying "where do you see that happen???" legitimately or someone directly quoting that certain part of the post and saying that- but yeah
CM is a nice idea 10/10
