Pets & Horses Add A New Horse? 50/50

I feel like people are starting to not use horses because of walk speed. with a 50/50 horse it would make horses valuable again.

Horses should not be the fastest in the game. Walk speed is a build that comes at the cost of your damage and defensive abilities. Along with the fact that a 40/40 horse is what? 90 L.E, The bow for a speed build alone costs upwards of 6+ Stacks of L.E (I averaged for a decent bow but Strats can go for like 11+ Stacks of L.E) Don't get me wrong, I don't think adding another horse is needed. But it shouldn't be faster than speed builds. It's part of their charm. Plus, It's also a matter that only archers can get the extreme benefit of speed builds due to their speed buffs (Yes other classes can be buffed but they may not always be with an archer for that)

 

white horses take 118le just to breed.
balance wise its true that speed builds should be faster than a horse but from any other perspective it doesn't make sense.

 

That's on average, I'm talking about just a standard white horse. I've seen them go minimum for 90 (Quite daft of me to assume lowest price- I should be consistent with a mid-range price) Mathematically they are 118 L.E but some people manage to get them with much less. Some with a fair amount more. But I do know that overall. Horses shouldn't be better than speed builds.

 

I've only done horse breeding twice both times with 32le and both times got 2 white horses

The good ol days... When White Horses were for sale at ToL and were extremely cheap..

50/50 horse would be too fast. White horses are already fast enough to cross the provinces in like 5 minutes.

Speed sets for archers don't necessarily cost that much.. there are cheaper replacements. Like using an Angel Robe (unique item; easily obtained) with +20 ws instead of spending a stack of le for an extra 6 ws. And instead of using a wind mimic or almuj walker, you could just use a flashstep (guarantee 25% ws from using your air voucher at the qira hive) The Accessories for a speed set are all unique (ehwaz, automized, contrail) and can easily be obtained in a loot run. And for Sagitarius, Aries, and the bow? Well, you wouldn't need a Strati to be faster than a white horse. You can just have a 20% Aries, a 10% Sagitarius, and a 10% return to ether, and you're still faster than a 40/40 So all in all, the only things you'll need to buy for a speed set are a bad Aries, a bad Sagitarius, and a bow with at least +10% walk speed. Which would cost at most a stack of le.

 

But you're missing out on the most important point. The reason for the Speed build is for you to have limited Defense and offense. You are proving that here by stating that you can go a cheaper route. Which would make you Weaker, and Slower. I know that speed sets don't need to cost 15 Stacks of L.E but its an end-game build. You should have to spend a decent amount of cash on it. White horses can be obtained and used at any level. Therefore making a level 1 compared to a level 100 faster, doesn't logically make any sense.
