Youtube Rank - Problem & Solution

Problem:

So, As all of us already know, Having the YouTuber rank on Wynncraft gives an insane advantage for YouTubers on Wynncraft which I've found really unfair for different players... It literally gives each YouTuber the option to have an insane xp bonus, And I think this needs to change.

Detail:

I've noticed the problem from watching one of my really close friend's video realizing that he got to level 100 in 2 days because of the YouTube rank and he did not do that for a YouTube video/recorded any of it, He just pointed out that he has this level 100 character in the video + that he got it because of the YouTuber xp bonus (Not like I'm saying anyone should take his character or anyone else's, He already earned it), Which some players struggle to do in months.

Solution:
I don't really see any other reason for a player to have this insane xp bonus, But simply for progressing faster on his YouTube videos, So what I suggest is giving all the YouTubers the permission to use it only for video purposes.

P.S - I'm pretty sure that I have this unique talent of gaining hate on threads where I talk about my opinion, So just a reminder, This was made because of a problem that I have with the system and believed that some more people have with it too, You're free to comment your opinion about the subject, Also I constantly edit most of my threads to repair wrong information in case there is any, So if you see any irrelevant comment, Then it's probably because I edited the thread.

This isn't against EULA. The EULA is about giving advantages to players who have donated or paid money in some way. By your logic, Moderators are also breaking EULA.

Anyways, I don't really think this is a problem. The XP bonus is there to make sure their Wynncraft series don't have ridiculously long cuts where the youtuber had grinded for weeks, and it's not like the game is being totally broken by like only 10 people being able to get to level 100 faster. It's not like Cactus Grinding, which anyone can do. I had heard the XP bonus only works on a special youtuber server, but perhaps this isn't the case. If not, then in my opinion that's what it should be.

For most youtubers, the XP bonus is required to make the videos more enticing and fast-paced for the viewers.

Nobody wants to watch somebody grind to 100 in a month; it'd make terrible content. But if they can level up steadily and progress while having fun, it's a good way for 1. Them to make content and 2. Wynn to get advertised.


So in most cases, it's necessary. But for others (glitched), it's not necessary and is just an advantage.

Instead of nerf the XP bonus, why not change the youtuber rank requirements?
Perhaps they must not be a Wynncraft-only youtuber, and need more subs than just 10k.

EDIT:

If this is true, then I think it's fine, so long as it doesn't transfer over to the normal servers.

If it does transfer, then maybe something should be changed.

 

Thank you for making it clear, Although it does still seem unfair because all of the YouTubers could still use the xp for their own advantage and not only for videos, I would remove the EULA part, Also the Moderator rank is obviously not the same thing because you get it for maturity, Knowing some of the owners and a lot of other stuff, But unlike that every random 7 year old with more then 10K subscribers can get a YouTube rank, And "Abuse" the xp bonus, While moderators can't abuse their ability to ban/mute people without getting into serious trouble.

I think it's so youtubers can actually crank out interesting content (quests and screwing around) at an efficient rate instead of either uploading hours of grinding or uploading too slowly.

I don't think it breaks the EULA either because they did not pay for the bonus.

It's exclusive to youtubers not normal players, and honestly if you think it's so unfair, how unfair is it to get 5k+ subscribers on such a low populated server? Just to get 500% XP bonus? It's their little milestone that the admins bring upon them. If you want it, earn it. Anddd I'm out

 

how about having the xp bonus depending on your sub amount?
1k-10k: 2x xp bonus
10k-50k:3x
blah blah they give anyone that makes a video about them now even with 1k subs since noone really does wynn videos that much anymore

 

I don't think the xp bonus is that big of a deal, only times I would think it makes some problems is when others watch his vids they would be disappointed when finishing a quest.

3. I'm pretty sure after 3 years, Salted would change YT xp if he thought it was a major problem.

 

My opinion is that the xp bonus should be removed or be lowered (a lot),I've seen some players trying to get subscribers to get youtube rank only for the xp bonus and Im sure that more people will try to get it.And you wont even need to grind when they add new quests...

Well thing is, most youtubers have like a series where they play as a class, the exp bonus is to prevent the series from going on for too long because of the amount of grinding, and you might say "Oh well fix the grinding then" The content team is working on that. i dont really see the youtuber exp bonus as a problem, and if it was we would probably already have changed it

Wait, where'd you get that 500% number from? You get a 3x XP bonus; 300%, not 500%...

 

Possible typo perhaps?

 

I remember hearing it was x6 and then it got nerfed to x5 or x4
