World Quest: Thesead's Mine

I have wanted to make this quest for a while, and here it is! It is a lvl 85 quest, with a difficulty of Normal. It takes place in the mines of Thesead (obviously) and you start talking to Hemal, a miner.
EDIT: Ok I just saw the "Thesead Thief" quest. This is NOT a copy of it to be clear. Thesead is my favorite city and I have wanted a quest in it for a long time.

If you have not started the quest:
Hemal: We have some serious issues here. Come back when you are level 85 to help. Hurry!

Quest Start:
[1/5] Hemal: System malfunction! This is a problem!
[2/5] Hemal: Oh, hello there. Didn't notice you.
[3/5] Hemal: You see, we have a major issue. Our auto-miner machine is malfunctioning!
[4/8] Hemal: You see, a while back before my time, Thesead was a prosperous city of trade and Gavel's supplier of coal.
[5/8] Hemal: Nowadays, the city has been going into, well, a slump. The coal production is slowing down, we have less miners, and we aren't making enough emeralds.
[6/8] Hemal: That is why I bought this machine! I bought the machine a couple weeks ago, from a merchant in Thanos. He said it could mine coal faster than 10 of us at once!
[7/5] Hemal: The merchant seemed a little shady, but c'mon, I just had to have this machine!
[8/5] Hemal: Could you go check it out? I need to fix this before the boss comes. If he comes and finds this I will be in big trouble.
[Quest Started: Thesead's Mine]

If you return without going to the machine:
[1/1] Hemal: Hurry up! We have got to fix this before my boss comes!

When you go to the machine:
You hear sirens roaring down here. The machine is throwing coal everywhere. It looks like the core of the machine is malfunctioning. Maybe you should go check back to Hemal.

When you return to Hemal:
[1/4] Hemal: How does it look? What is going on?
[2/4] Hemal: Coal being thrown around? The core is malfunctioning? This is bad.
[3/4] Hemal: We have got to act quickly. We need our coal mine to provide emeralds for the whole city!
[4/4] Hemal: Could you go inside the machine to check it out? There is a hole in the top of it that you can jump through.

When you return without completing what is inside:
[1/1] Hemal: Quick quick! The machine needs fixing! What are you waiting for?

When you jump into the machine you get teleported into a big room with a puzzle. This appears in chat upon teleportation:
It is rather dark in here. You hear a distant noise of clunking in the backround.
Here is a description of the puzzle:
In the room, there are four pressure plates around you with different colors below them. On the back wall there 4 number code, each number a different color. You have to step on the pressure plates in order of the corresponding numbers from lowest to highest.

Once you have completed the puzzle, you get teleported into a room with a parkour. The parkour is made up of gears (cogs). Here is what appears in chat upon teleportaion:
You hear the banging of gears hitting each other. Your ears are splitting from the sound.

After the parkour you get teleported into a room with one final puzzle. Here is a description of the puzzle:
You see on the back wall maps of all of the cities you have been to up to this level in a random order. Here are the cities.

Gelibord, Cinfras, Thanos, Lexdale, Llevigar, Aldorei, Olux

Each map has a pressure plate underneath it. You must step on the pressure plates in order from lowest level to highest to open a door to the boss.

Lastly, you enter the boss room. It is a large room with gears (cogs) on the walls. In the center is the boss. When you kill it, it drops an untradeable item called: "Auto-Miner Core"
Here is the boss description:

Auto-Miner Core
Health: 50,000
Movement: None (it is a machine)
Attack: Ranged - It shoots coal blocks
Damage: 750
Elemental Defense: Earth, Lightning
Elemental Weakness: Water
Elemental Damage: Earth

Upon killing, you enter the exit portal with the core and spawn outside the Thesead Mine. You enter and talk to Hemal:

[1/4] Hemal: Did you fix it? I heard a bit of rumbling up here, I got a little scared.
[2/4] Hemal: You destroyed the core? Why? We need it to mine with!
[3/4] Hemal: Oh well. It is better than a malfunctioning machine spitting coal everywhere.
[4/4] Hemal: Here, take this. It is some of the mine's emeralds. You deserve it for your work.
[Quest Completed: Thesead's Mine]
+ 450,000 xp
+ 12,288 emeralds (3 le)

If you have already completed the quest:
[1/2] Hemal: Guess what! We actually made a lot of emeralds off of all that coal the machine threw out! The city now prospers again thanks to your help.

This is an interesting quest, but what are you going to do with the recommendation letter? You'll need to add more quests.

 

The recommendation letter will be required for a later quest. I might make that one soon

Just a small question: How does coal do thunder dmg?

Bump! Anybody have any ideas?

 

It's a bit of a filler quest IMO. You just go where the quest tells you to and then at the end you battle yet another boss (as if we didn't have enough of them in Gavel). I do think that the puzzles are a good addition though. But there isn't much to it; not much story, generic NPC, and the quest itself is pretty bland. I'd suggest to add a bit more character to the NPC and maybe make the boss fight a big puzzle, let's say you have a certain amount of time to "fix" the machine and if you fail then you get TP'd back to the room before the "boss". Sorry for being negative on this but it's just a generic quest and we have enough of that in Wynn.

 

It is an interesting idea. I definitely agree that it could use a little more lore. I will try to work that in. I will also give the NPC some more character.

Now the quest is much better, if only for that bit of lore. I like how it gives a lot of info on the history of the town! Good job and thanks for listening to my feedback!

That looks familiar like from my quest ^_^

However, the quest needs to be longer. I have feeling it's like "Hey! Kill him!"

 

The younger sees the older, the older breaks the order.

I had this idea for this quest for a long time. I did not copy you in any way. I said it at the top.
Also, the quest might seem short because you don't talk to many npc's. One point of this quest is to have the player do it by himself. The player needs to figure things out.

well yeah. This quest is just not from npc to npc back to npc. It is solve this, parkour this, fight this, return to npc. More interesting

 

I feel like 3 le may be a bit too much for a "solve the puzzle then kill him" quest. Altough the idea of the puzzle is great !
That's a nice quest, but needs a reward like 1 le or 1 le 32 EB

 

It is lvl 85 keep in mind.
Other quests give a lot lower level.

 

It is great! It does seem pretty short though, for it's level... That's not too much of a problem though, there are uh... Shorter.. quests... I can think of one... But still! It's great :P
