Since when are ancients from dern?

 

Mfw the ancients look like Endermen and Endermen type mobs are rarely used and when they are they're in Darkness/Dern themed areas and the signs in the basement talking about the Eye that followed them andthe gray-skinned (black/gray interchangeable art-wise) visitor that gave the sodeta family the Abysso Galloshes which are made of Dernic Stone and the Ancients are seen in the dark realm in Fantastic Voyage yet you still ask me why ancients are from Dern?

 

That's like saying all big nosed people are from gavel.
In WynnExcavation D you go to an ancient city under the dernel jungle. It has been confirmed that the dernel jungle doesn't have anything to do with dern.
Maybe they want to use the same mob more than once?

 

The only thing that was confirmed was the name not being related though

Endermen models are rarely used like I said unless it's related to Darkness or black magic and shit and we all know Dern will be based on that.

Plus art-wise black-skinned creatures are drawn as gray, i.e Qira is actually supposed to be black but appears gray because black did not look nice on her.

Endermen are gray-skinned lore-wise for this reason and the only thing that could possibly have boots made of Dernic stone are natives of Dern.

Can you tell me what other mob they would use for a province/realm based on Darkness, Eyes and Teleportation? (Mages learnt their Teleportation skill from Dern).

 

2 years ago I would have said an enderman.
Now we have Jumla's amazing plugins so every mob can teleport.
We also have a custom texture pack so any mob can be dark.
I presume they chose enderman as ancients to introduce more diversity into the game.

 

they can't break Lore now so it's always gonna be Enderman
what is there even to argue against lol

they have no need to waste time on making custom mob for Ancients if the Endermen already suit what they have in mind for the province lol

 

They made the ancients before the texture pack so their only choice was enderman, but remember that there are more mobs that use an enderman as a base model.

 

your argument turned from "how do you know the ancients are from dern" to "the ancients would've been a different mob if jumla knew how to make custom mobs back then"

Still the same argument, you're claiming they are the same due to the mob model.
I explained that the mob model was identical because of technical limitations.
You also get the enderman model around toa, in toa and somewhere in gavel.

the eye is something related to the ancients that doesn't have anything to do with dern.

Actually Bob's Mythics have a nice neutral damage for their level.
We only need them to be a Mythic Item, and not a Legendary Item.

Oh, but they didn't live in the Dernel Jungle. At least, not at first. There is a hidden basement within the Ancient's city that explains more, but it is stated that they arrived here at some point from the "Dark land." Given what we know about Dern(as in, only information that everyone can access freely[and also because I don't know any more than any of you do]), it is a province of darkness, so the Ancients, which match the Dern Beasts and Dern Minions as Endermen(and before 1.1.2, were Dern Emigrants), are very likely from Dern.
