    @Slimeonatree57 and @Witcher , I haven't forgotten you two.
    Perhaps you guys can help me add on to this list.

    So after my stint of making class ideas, I realized that the staff team were probably going to add a class, but it probably won't be in my lifetime, so I decided to look into other ideas on how to do class creation related ideas. And I miraculously found this idea about the 4th upgrade for spells (I know people have suggested this in the past). The whole reason for this thread is to provide ideas on what those potential ideas could be, not just a fixed set of upgrades to do. By providing variety, you can choose which ones could exist in the most balanced state together.

    I decided to do assassin since I have seen a lot of "buff assassin" threads

    Note: The words or numbers in red means that these can be changed. Some numerical values I would like to keep the same
    the "/" means or
    Feel Free to comment down below what to change or other ideas
    I picked shadow as most of these names since assassins are kind of.... you know... shadowy...

    Also I relied on the wiki for most of my information, but I am aware some of the stuff seems outdated


    Skill 1: Spin Attack

    Idea 1: Enhanced Blades
    This one is simple, increase the radius of spin attack by 50%/Increase the damage by X%

    Idea 2: Shadow Clone
    Leave a clone where you last were standing when you casted spin attack. 1.5 seconds after casting spin attack the clone will perform spin attack again, dealing 50% of the normal damage without modifiers/Tier 1 spin attack

    Idea 3: Shadow Daggers:
    When casting spin attack, send forth two daggers which impale the two closest enemies (cannot be the same enemy) dealing X% spell damage. The maximum range is 10 blocks and the speed of the projectiles fly 200% the speed of an arrow


    Skill 2: Vanish (By far, the most controversial)

    Idea 1: Blend into the shadows
    While standing still, Vanish will drain mana at 50% of the normal rate

    Idea 2: Reflexive Parry
    If hit by an attack, block 100% of the attack and become unvanished

    Idea 2.5: Reactive Parry
    If hit by an attack, block 50% of the attack and your next basic attacks deal an additional 50% of the damage reduced (25% of the original attack)

    Idea 3: Shadow Step
    When you cast vanish for the first time, jump forward (not teleport, pushed really fast) 5 blocks in the direction you are facing (2-D, cannot move vertically)

    Idea 4: Shadow Aura
    If you are hit by AOE damage (splash, not a direct hit), then you will not becone unvanished. Direct hits will still unvanish you.
    Example: if bomb arrow hits you through a wall, you won't unvanish. If your head is hit by the actual bomb arrow, then you will become unvanished.

    Idea 4.5: Shadow Aura
    Abilities do not unvanish you (Might be very very overpowered)

    Idea 5: Inspire Fear
    Walking near an enemy (within 12 blocks) will cause them to receive Slowness 1 for 3 seconds. The effect refreshes if the target remains within the aura.


    Skill 3: Multihit

    Idea 1: Vengenace
    For every 2% of health you are missing, increase the damage of multihit by 1%

    Idea 2: Vulnerability
    If your target is in the air, the damage that your enemy takes is increased by 100%

    Idea 3: Off Balance
    If the next source of fall damage your enemy take is increased by 100% and cannot stack.

    Skill 4: Smoke Bomb


    Idea 1: Drifting Smoke
    When you cast smoke bomb, decrease the radius by 25%, but the longer that smoke bomb is casted, the larger it gets. Expands until it is the sixe of 150% the size of original smoke bomb.
    Simpler: the radius is 75%, and expands to 150%

    Idea 2: Sticky canisters
    You throw smoke bomb at 200% velocity, and if it directly hits an enemy, it will latch onto the enemy and the smoke cloud will follow that enemy, dealing damage to other nearby enemies. Using a tier 2 heal (with the cleanse thingy) will cause the smoke canister to fall on the ground, and the enemy will no longer be carrying it with them.

    Idea 3: Blinding Smoke
    Self Explanatory, while in the smoke, enemies are blinded

    Idea 4: Nerve agent
    If you enter smoke bomb, you are immobilized for 1 second. If you exit and enter, then you also get this effect. After this second, and you travel around in the smoke, without leaving the smoke bomb radius, then you will not the immobilized.

    Idea 5: Concealing Smoke:
    Become invisible inside of the smoke and abilities in the smoke deal X% more damage to targets inside the smoke

    Idea 6: Larger Bombs
    The arc of which you throw the smoke bombs is increased by 50% and the radius of each smoke bomb is increased by 25%

    Idea 7: Grappling Net (As suggested by @Endertricity )
    When you cast smoke bomb, throw out a net which pulls your opponents closer to the center of the nearest bomb. Pulls them towards the center of the smoke bomb at a rate of 20% of the distance away from the center per second.

    Well that's all for now, leave suggestions in the comments on how to improve, or other ideas.
    I will be sure to tag you if you suggest a new idea that I add to the thread.

    I'll do the other classes later, with archer last, since I main archer

    Here's an idea for vanish-
    If you end the vanish spell with a Melee attack on a mob/player, it does 25% more damage and you teleport 2 blocks behind it

    The thing about teleporting is if your enemy is right next to a wall, and you teleport behind the wall... which could posibly lead to some confusion/loss of hitpoints, and the damage boost already does exist, at tier 2

    Dealing damage while in vanish gets a 30% buff according to the wiki. So the first attack in vanish gets the buff

    ok, how about some sort of grappling effect for smoke bomb, along with immobilization? Pull them closer to you so you can use your limited range

    Elaborate. I don't see a use for grappling, which I don't know if it is possible with the current coding we have.
    But seems interesting, kinda seems like a warrior based ability

    When smoke bomb activates on a mob or player, they are immobilized for a few seconds and pushed 5-7 blocks towards the caster. (We know this sort of movement is possible because of Archer's Escape). I would imagine this would be useful for a Assassin because it's only ranged attack could be a method of bringing an enemy close, where Assassin is strongest

    The only problem I see is how you would incorporate it logically.
    You throw out several bombs, which deal damage, and those caught inside are immobilized, then slowed if they remain inside the smoke.

    I don't know how a grappling effect could be added.
    I thought vanish was meant for you to get closer, instead of pulling the enemies toward you.

    You could also imagine smoke bomb as a net to limit their movements, which you can pull in . And it would be an alternative to using vanish and draining all of your mana. Vanish would still be useful for confusion, breaking line of sight and surprise attacks.

    I have trouble seeing how you could channel the smoke to pull your enemies in. In what you are saying, I imagine you would want to teleport in, spin attack, then teleport back, which teleporting (well pretty close to it) is one of the modifiers that i suggested on vanish

    Assassins don't seem to be the pulling people in type of guy, rather i can see warriors more fitting this role

    Assassin is sneaky and fast. For some reason, I would imagine Warrior has grandeur and wouldn't resolve for dirty tricks like this, while the assassin would. Like pulling someone up really close to slice their throat with a dagger

    And as you said, teleportation isn't really viable here. I stand by my suggestions, a grappling net connected to the bomb

    Sorry, you probably don't know where I'm getting the grappling hook references from

    I'm more used to the "huge guy with a hook pulling people in"
    Examples: Roadhog from overwatch or Stiches from Heroes of the Storm

    I'm assuming you are probably thinking of the more "assassin's creed" type of type, which I haven't played, but I know it has a grappling mechanic

    The problem is, I the animation for smoke bomb does not change, and adding things doesn't seem to be a good idea. I'm kind of looking for modifications that won't be controversial, I'm sure some people don't want grappling net, for defensive purposes.
