World Thorns/reflection Breaking [identification] 21+ Support

So alot of people are annoyed by the new meta build in wynn which is Cactus. After the spell dam nerf, people have made private builds, but many have been leaked out and is getting more and more popular. Some builds are made to counter it directly but aren't that great.

For thise who dont know, cactus is basically 100 reflection and thorns so that your opponent deals damage to himself and if you have enough health, you always win.

"Shatter" is a new ID that is a percent chance to ignore thorns and reflection. It would only be found in 70+ weapons.

This only affects players (unless there are thorns and reflection bosses/mobs later in game) and would really be more of a pvp ID. This could be juts be added in low amounts to weapons that deal thunder and earth damage.

The amount of this would range from an average of 5% on something like crossroad killer to and average of 50% on a weapon like thundacrack.

FAQ:

Q: Whats with the name?
A: I chose pierce because it pierces thorns and reflection, but the name can be whatever.

Q: EG: Guy A has like 70% thorns/reflect while Guy B has 75/78% shatter/pierce, would the latter activate more in that case or..?
A: A shatter with 50% would ignore thorns/reflection 50% of the time even if its just 1% thorns or 100% thorns. If you have 1% shatter, you would ignore thorns and reflection 1% of the time do matter what.

Why "pierce". This sounds more like armor-piercing ids. Support bcuz it breaks an op build, but the name needs changing.

 

I chose pierce because its pierces through thorns and reflection, but if someone has a better name, then ill change

 

I dunno, Pierce sounds like an armour negating ID. Perhaps something like shield, or dodge would be better. Either way I support

This could get Christo Nolan Interstellar level shit real fast mate like what if u hit him he reflects/thorns ur azz but u have shatter so it goes back to him but then since u also have reflects/thorns it deals double dmg but half of that dmg is reflected/thorn back to u and you shatter once again?

still +1 Support because having 'The Best' build makes the game boring for Endgame Build makers

 

This made me laugh way more than it should have but a very good point, would the % each person have their thorns/reflect or shatter/pierce happen more than the other person?

I don't even think cactus should exist.

Haven't thought it properly through, but maybe limiting how much thorns/reflec you can have can help instead?

Shatter doesnt deflect thorns and reflection, it is a chance of negating. If 2 players have 100 thorns and 50 shatter each and 1 player hits another, either
A. The thorns kicks in a deals 100% damage back normally

Or

B. Shatter kicks in at a 1/2 chance and you dont take any damage when you hit.

The would turn call of voids into AZs since if the cap was 50, a 50/50 Call of the void would be worth as much as a max

I don't even know much about thorns/reflection items and what they're priced at ._.

All I know is that they should BURRRNN

 

While there's no doubt there are people that know that @nilire4810, this idea just gives other people who aren't mages a chance in duels against a cactus build.

Only thing that beats a cactus is a better cactus but that is such a boring and annoying fight

 

Maybe for PvE, it gives the player a chance to ignore the Elemental Resistance of a mob for each attack?
