Dinemild: This tower is used somewhat similarly to his, it allows you to forget past mistakes.
Dinemild: Ah, you would like access? Well it won't be as easy as you think.
Dinemild: To prove you are worthy of stepping foot into my tower, I will need 1 [Llevigar Teleportation Scroll]. Off you go!

What is the Tower Of Oblivion?​

The Tower Of Oblivion is a tower similar to the Tower Of Amnesia in Wynn. Here is how the tower works. At the top of the tower, there will be a Re-Identification Merchant. For 10 LE, you may buy 1 Re-Identification Scroll. When used, it takes all of the ID's off of the item in your hand. You may re-identify it only once at an item identifier to have a chance of getter better ID's. You may only re-identify an item only once though, if you try and re-identify it again after doing it once, it will say You have already re-itentified that item!

The lower your ID's are, the higher chance they get better
The higher your ID's are, the higher chance they get worse

Also, Mythic items have a better chance of getting worse ID's as a balance to prevent OP items

 

Wow, this seems like a really good idea! I'm a bit curious though, would this "re-identification" scroll work on mythics too or just unique to legendary? I sorta feel like it would be too powerful to be allowed on mythics but that might just be me. Other than that, you have my support. +1 Air-headed Supporter

I like this idea a lot and it could probably be a good idea but Mythics should be re indentifiable only once and all others go up by one till u get to unique and those should be able to be identified indefinitely

 

The OP already plans for the scroll to only be used once per item i think @Morgan Vanlenthe but what i think should be asked is whether it will be able to be used on mythic items in the first place, i can imagine a situation like this...

^ a VERY what-if situation but you get the point hopefully, and would lead to alot of raging over mythics getting worse from this new scroll.

 

Thats the point. When re-identifying, you are taking a huge risk.

Heres the catch

The lower your ID's are, the higher chance they get better

It's literally a clone of the Tower of Amnesia, but hey, it works I suppose.

 

@xYamikaze That may be, but the reward isn't the exact same and unlike Tower Of Amnesia, it adds something new for those rich players to invest into as well as horses, also OP, thanks for clearing that up. Now there's more of a reason to add this imo.

It's okay now I guess.

But, shouldn't a few things be changed?
For example:
How are you supposed to make the item unidentified in your hand when you're holding the scroll?
Shouldn't you get a free scroll for re-identifying it when you finish the quest, similar to Tower of Amnesia?
Shouldn't items have a tag that says that they were already re-identified?

 

This is a really good idea. It could be used effectively on the Legendary gear that has bad ids because they were there before the addition of Rares. I like it, the risk makes it a fun gamble as well. :3

 

You still have access to Thesead even without completing a Marauder's Dues.
It is just a little bit harder!
