I actually already made a post like this one (but it has been closed since someone necropost it).
As a custom resource packs user, you totally have my support on this one.

 

+1 support, this is preventing you from enjoying the game which is not what the staff should want

 

+1 support here, what if the resource pack stops working all of a sudden

In the meantime, you can at least set your chat opacity to around 10% so nothing will appear on-screen.

 

i just join random servers until the game bugs and doesnt send them.

Hey, BlahBlah, you should check out this thread. I'm hoping that I can help some players with getting the resource pack until all the bugs are worked out of downloading it in-game.

 

That does make it easier to download, the only issue after that is the spam a user would face.

I don't understand why people oppose this. It helps people like me and BlahBlah, but doesn't hinder people who don't have this problem, so why the hate?

 

And you're probably only seeing the surface of it.
As stated before, I already made A Thread requesting basically the same thing, and it almost turned into a flame war.
You can check it out and see what were the opinions and arguments of both parts, but can't reply since it has been locked because someone necroposted it.

 

Evran, you wanted to customize the official resource pack. All that BlahBlah161616 is asking for is a way to shut off the message because he IS using the official resource pack.

 

But in the end, I was requesting exactly the same thing as him, to make the message spamming you either way less frequent, or make it toggle-able.
The uses we want to make out of this feature aren't the sames, but the feature is still the same, and what could go against one use should go against the other as well, just like if one thing could go in favor of one, it should go in favor of the other as well.
