    The problem:
When you go to the nether, all of your elemental skill points, apart from water, are allowed. It seems a bit unfair, as there are quite a few water-based builds out there. If spell spamming is what worries you, then why doesn't an 80% dodge chance, or any other near maxed out skill? It's difficult even touching a speedy air build, and when you do, they will probably dodge your attack. You can't combat the dodge chance, as you can only use a couple spells at a time before your mana drains. Having a water build means you can use more spells, giving a fairer chance against other builds, especially air ones, and it's unfair that people with builds centered around water don't have a chance to use it in pvp.

    The Suggestion:
Simple. Just add water as a skill to the nether. It might seem a little OP at first glance, as you think of the spell spamming, but then again, there are archers with an 80% dodge chance and over 100% walk speed. There are also cactus builds, and builds that use super slow weapons and +tier attack speed that are brokenly op. Adding water can combat those types of builds, and allow people with water builds to have a chance in the nether.
Otherwise, it should be no skills allowed at all, and just the weapon/armor stats you have. I find it's fairer to either have all or nothing, so certain groups of people won't be left out.

Thanks for reading, opinions and improvements to this suggestion are appreciated!

(I do not use a water build btw)

If it is hot enough to evaporate water instantly then it would burn human flesh too. Maybe they should make it so only people with 200 or more fire defense can go in the nether without takeing 1000 dps. No, if they wanted to be realistic and have water evaporate everything would break down. I don't do nether pvp so I didn't know it wasn't aloud until now.

thing is that skill points shouldn't even matter in the nether, and your gear shouldn't count as well.
the old nether (not the old old nether) ignored weapon damage and armor defense and put everyone on an equal ground.

I think the reason why Water is not allowed is because Water is mostly used by mages, and yes, there are water builds for other classes, but Mage is the one that turns into a beast while using it. And since Mage already has Heal, a big help since potions don't work in the nether, they disabled water.

@Tsukimi_love also has a lovely thorn/reflect/poison build that kills me whener I try to spin attack, so water could be useful for combating this sort of build

I prefer the old nether too tbh, but with all the work and the unlikely probability that they will revert to the old nether, adding all elements won't leave out any other group of people from the nether

    This.
    All my support here.
It doesn't do me jack shit if when I land a meteor on someone, it does ZERO DAMAGE to them and instantly kills me, just because they had better gear.
That's not PvP, and it might as well just be P.
Maybe an option to play PvP with stats (like a Champions' Arena) or PvP without stats (the Nether) would be nice.
